To what I understand about the government of the world is when u commit a crime you have to admit pled guilty so when you pled guilty automatically, why you stay in the prison for some certain time the government can surely pardon you that you have been change but if you did not pled guilty is hardly for them to pardon you because they will believe if they release you , continue with ur crime You will still continue what you are doing what still kept Evans in the prison is because he did not pled guilty

Having fought and died in terrible conflicts to secure the colonies, particularly in north Africa Charles De Gaulle suddenly threw in the towel and set Algeria free including the hardened fighters that were responsible for some of the worst massacres of french legionnaires causing so much bitterness and resentment towards the government.

They promptly formed the OAS, an organisation aimed at seeking revenge. De Gaulle just had to go.

It is a very dicey thing when governments fail to consider the sensibilities of the men and women in uniform, agents of security and law enforcement when issues of amnesty occur. It may be good politics and optics but it can be demoralising and institution damaging to see their efforts truncated.

As a matter of fact the personal security of these men and women in uniform is put at risk with the release of these felons especially those convicted of senselessly violent crime. I just hope that the armed forces council and police service commission were consulted and their free will accepted.

Government should be extremely wary about you undermining the law, the institutions of law enforcement and security and the sensibilities of the operatives.

Ojukwu was the Governor of the then Eastern Region, agitating for self-determination for his people.

Mind you, Ojukwu declared the State of Biafra, and ran it for like 2years before Nigeria attacked the region.

It was Nigeria that fired the first shot and started the war, in other to reclaim the State of Biafra, leading to breakout of the war.

If you don't know much about Nigeria Biafra war, go research about it, than saying what you don't know just to justify the actions of your master.

Don't try to change the narrative in the quest to support your master's reckless presidential pardons.

What life do these pardoned criminals know, and what will sustain them after prison life? Who will employ them? Won't they live in fear or revert to crime?
Not judging now, but did they acquire any skills in prison?

I see some returning to the prison, now or later because they're either so hardened or have no life outside the four walls of the jail house.

Are you are aware about 60% of capital crime convicts return back to prison after release

In a country with an unresolved employment rate and excruciating hardship how do you give " convict" renewed hope" where the law abiding citizens are bearly living hand to mouth

Now you gave release these hardened criminal into society ... what is waiting outside for them is stigmatization
1. who wan employ ex convict
2. Will friends and Neighbour accept them
3. You as a president might forgive them But the society did not so how the convict survive nd not go back to crime

Our security agencies appeared overwhelmed and stressed already a sensible president will think not just act recklessly and keep compounding problems for Nigeria all in the name of playing politics

I believe there are more questionable cases and inmates wrongfully accused and convicted that could have been pardoned instead of all these unrepentant criminals. His enemies will be watching their steps now that he is out because he doesn't even need to do the dirty jobs anymore.

The President himself will add his own names to the list. Don't be deceived, Tinubu is cleverly building his enforcers army for the 2027 elections. Crooked criminals like these are the people used to rig elections.

Have you forgotten the dramatic drafting of MC Oluomo, Asari Dokubo, Tom Polo and Ateke Tom to APC grassroots enforcers during 2023 elections? MC Oluomo even had murder case on his neck during the struggle for control of Lagos and National exco of NURTW. Everything was swept under the carpet in exchange for his grassroots mobilization of thugs to snatch ballot boxes and disrupt elections in non-APC strongholds.

Just watch and see the role this guy will play in 2027 elections.

.. what the president is doing is not good... for this pardon to criminals ..it's not showing a good example to the Nigeria youths
Can encourage more youths to go into crime knowing that they will be pardoned and forgiven after they have been caught ànd detained in custody
