If that's the case then you also don't own Nigeria, seeing the economics and wealth is held by a tiny political elite..
Bad analogy. That analogy applies in every country of the world.

so please, man, I'm celebrating our win, stop telling me about white people, don't you guys tire of talking about them? damn!
I am happy we kept hope alive even if slim.

Sorry, I am a black nationalist activist and writer so parson me for my obsession with black marginalization in the world.

Actually it was Rwanda that messed up everything. I smell match fixing. How could they have allowed SA, which has never defeated them before to win massive on their turf? I was hoping that the least SA will get was a draw.

Nigeria will still qualify, but by breaking sweats.
Honestly speaking I really vex for wetin Rwanda do today ooo, what's that for

You need to go and rewatch the first goal, shot from outside 18yard and the goalkeeper just knelt down and allowed the ball to go in.....

100% , We are now third place out of 4, If DR congo wins, w only move to 4th place and that concludes the playoff fight.

The would be useless teams cos the strong South American teams like Brazil, Argentina, Colombia...etc are already through.
That team from South America is Bolivia. Nigeria just need to win that African ticket. All those from other zones on a normal day cannot stand Nigeria. I am waiting for the Central and North America teams, they will have two slots

Someone should please enlighten me biko. Nigeria's total of 17 points is only the seventh best out of the nine groups as all the others second placed teams have at least nineteen points except for Niger and Madagascar.

So how have we qualified to the African playoffs when we are not among the 4 highest 2nd placed teams?

If Nigerians can start using local players, local teams will be motivated to do well in the afcon
Listening to the SuperSports presenters commenting on the role of the PSL in the first south African team to qualify for the world cup, they did acknowledge what I have been saying.

They praised the ORGANISERS and MANAGEMENT of the PSL. That is the key. It is not just about using local players or not. What is the quality of the league, the management of onshore football in Nigeria.

Remember that before the national team became continental contenders their clubsides have been featuring at the business end of CAF championships for a while.

So it is a logical step.
1. Develop your clubs.
2. Have enough quality clubs to develop the league.
3. And the quality league will deliver quality national team materials to qualify for international tourneys with ease.

We need a total overhaul of the football administration in this country and to me it starts from the leadership recruitment process. It is too narrow, too exclusive and must be taken apart.

Final whistle!

Republique du Benin you fall hand sha.. I was rooting for you to qualify for your first ever world cup. Maybe you would have gone far the way Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana did as debutants. All the best in 2030 world cup qualifiers.

Super eagles na now your work just start.

Eric Chelle deserves his flowers sha.. from 3 points to 17 points, took us from the pit ex-super eagles players turned coach threw us in. Why people are calling him clueless coach is beyond me!
Which Cameroon is a debutants? Are you talking a Cameroon that was at the fifa world cup before Nigeria or you mean Cape Verde?

N.b if you follow Nigerians soccer pundits who criticize coaches then u are just following Nigerian football. Remember Keshi in 2013 before he won the trophy, NFF has already prepared is sack letter ( nothing pundits) if he had lost against all star studded Ivorian team headed by Didier Drogba . But God of heaven shame them.

Gabon
Cameroon
Nigeria
Burkina

Burkina Faso's spot is still up for grabs. If Drc Congo wins their last game against sudan, they will have 16pts, which will take them to the 2nd position on the table, thereby knocking out Burkina faso in the process.

As it stands, Nigeria is facing Cameroon in Morocco for the play off.

It could change when other game is played.

Rohr needs an outright win as a draw will take their fates out of their hands and they will also hope Rwanda does them a favour by winning or drawing. South Africa has a clear cut mission:Beat Rwanda and top the group, any other result they(South Africa) are out.

Stop the let's get 1 or 2 goals mantra as that depends on the outcome of the following:
Burkina Faso vs Ethiopia
Mali v Madagascar
Algeria v Uganda.
It is only if these matches end in a draw that the let's get 1 or 2 goals mantra becomes an agenda and even at that Super Eagles defence will need not to concede for the let's get 2 goals mantra to be a good option.

I repeat let's get 4 goals mantra will be the best option.
You actually saw it coming cool.

When Uganda scored in the 6th minute I wonder what the Algerian fans would have been saying about Zidane's son who is playing his first match for Algeria as a goal keeper.

So basically only one team will qualify from the playoffs, and will still play the international playoffs with other like minded best loosers and the winner to the world cup? Omo the road long. Anyway its still part of the entertainment so even if you don't qualify, you have still enjoyed football

What is the same thing? I hope you dont mean your analogy of the tiny elite? Its extremely different. Extremely. If Ikoyi / VI/ Lekki were strictly reserved for white people till 1994, you will understand the difference. Especially if you as a Nigerian needed a passbook to go there for menial work during the day.

If only white people could contest elections here till 1994, you will understand.

If they kept maybe Awo / Zik etc in prison for 27 years because they wanted a free Nigeria for Africans as well, you will understand.

After all that, if white Brits owned 70 per cent of land in Nigeria TILL TODAY and almost all of the GDP TILL TODAY, u will understand.

If you were not allowed to go into a restaurant or shop for white people, you will get it.

If you had to use different toilets, you will get it.

I can go on and and on. Just thank God for your hot weather and mosquitoes otherwise you will be in this situation till today.

Checking Fifa Site on latest world cup qualification they said there is an evidence of money induced bribery which was foundout when a text message of one big south african fa executive was found in Rwanda's goal keeppers phone. As a result Nigeria will qualify ahead of south african. See how God works!
