Omo this journey still long oo

That's it oooooo.

I am more concerned about these African teams that made it to the play offs. Nigeria just need to qualify from Africa.

From what I saw, if Nigeria qualifies for the play off out of Africa zone. Our ranking in the world will help us when we face those from other continents.

Two slots is remaining for the world Cup from all those teams coming from the various continent. If Nigeria qualify from Africa, they are expected to compete with 5 teams from other continents making 6 teams in total to be divided into two groups of 3.

If Nigeria is ranked higher than all other teams, it means Nigeria will be seeded head of a group e.g.

Nigeria
Bolivia
Tahiti

Bolivia will first play Tahiti. Any team that wins between the two will now face Nigeria in the final to get one of the two tickets available for the six teams. Same will happen in the other group

Gabon Cameron and Nigeria have qualified for the playoffs.
The match tonight will show if Burkina Faso or Congo will be the 4th best loser to play the playoffs!

So looking at the FIFA rankings

Nigeria - 45 or so
Cameroon - 52
Gabon - 79
Congo Dr - 60
Burkina Faso - 64

So we meet Congo or Gabon in the semis as we seem to be the highest ranked team. And probably meet Cameroon in the final. Then we go for the intercontinental playoffs. Surely we would be the highest ranked team there. Bolivia is ranked 77.

Today's game is quite an interesting one.

In football, especially in international competitions like AFCON or World Cup qualifiers, the dynamics between groups can indeed be systematically fluid — not in direct “help,” but in how results, goal differences, and head-to-head records indirectly shape other teams’ fates.

If we imagine Nigeria shifting help from Rwanda to Algeria (from another group).

It’s one of the things that makes tournament football so fascinating — you can affect outcomes without ever facing the team you “help” or “harm.”

We for kukuma allow Benin qualify instead of winning them for loud mouth people to qualify.
Never cut your nose to spite your face. Nigeria can still qualify through the longer and convoluted process of play offs

Nope, its not all I ever do. I have been here 16 years, so probably you would not know. Recent developments in the US and Israel have simply concentrated me there for now. By recent I mean more than just Israel/ Gaza. Anyone who knows my participation on this forum knows very well my centre of discussion is religion, theology and philosophy.

To dismiss the talk as "just white people" is also telling. But anyway, na so for Africa man.

We havent qualified yet oh. Playoff remain.

Enjoy bro.
Im not talking about you per se, im talking about your people ..

You guys are forever talking about white people..its exhausting and its weird..

What does this football thread have to do with them? But here we are ..

Loooool, if they qualify from Africa they will complete the process by March next year. So while others are playing Friendly matches to prepare for the world Cup in March 2026, Nigeria will be battling to qualify in USA or Mexico where the intercontinental winners to battle.

Actually no I hoped we didn't qualify
I think it would be a shame to qualify because South Africa was deducted 3 points
That is a distortion
We were not good enough
If we qualify we will not address the problems in our football which is administration in which South Africa are by far superior to Nigeria
In Nigeria we have a tradition if learning from others and we can learn some aspects of administration from South Africa, no doubt

But we should not emulate accepting white people owning the best land in our country

This question is very funny. The player that scored hat-trick was so tired and needed rest, in case you don't understand, it's easy for players to sistain injury, when they're tired.
