Pernem police arrested a 43-year-old Nigerian national, identified as Ugochukwu Solomon Ubabuko, in connection with possession of suspected narcotic substances.

The raid was conducted early this morning near Old Ferry Point, Dhargal, where police intercepted a scooter reportedly driven by the accused. During the search, officers recovered 61 grams of a greenish dried leafy substance suspected to be ganja and 3 grams of pink powder suspected to be ecstasy.

The suspected narcotics, along with the scooter, all worth around Rs 1.2 lakh, were seized under a panchanama after following all mandatory procedures under the NDPS Act.

An offense has been registered at Pernem Police Station under Sections 20(b)(ii)(A) and 22(b) of the NDPS Act.

It is sad and worrisome that some citizens of this great country are determined to tarnish the image of the country despite the immense effort of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to redeem the image.


At this rate and point, all embassy’s should be on high alert to flag and deny suspicious visa applications, and even the government to start denying travels to suspicious persons even if they have a visa.

The disgrace is getting out of hands and needs to be met with force.

Drug dealers are not National Assets.

Being culprits is actually shameful, but having them as political and traditional leaders is a disservice to humanity.
