We need three more victories in the World Cup qualifiers to secure our spot at the tournament. With three matches remaining, two in the African qualifiers and one in the intercontinental playoff, the African stage remains the most challenging. However, if we succeed there, our World Cup ticket will be almost 90% guaranteed. |

We have Eritrea to thank for this lifeline, but sincerely it's not even fair to countries that had 19/20 points but lost out cos of The Eritrea rule Let's see if our boys would take their chances this time around Cos we have no business in the playoffs |

So far, these are the teams that have qualified. When we eventually qualify, I want Fifa to give us Canada, New Zealand and Uzbekistan in the group stage cos we really suffered in to qualify, so they should give us an easy group. And please I don't want to see Argentina in our group o.

This mathematical analysis is scary. It’s even more advanced than I thought. So we wouldn’t have qualified to the playoffs if not for the 4th goal scored by Frank Onyeka. And if Eritrea did not withdraw, we wouldn’t have leapfrogged others who had more points than ours. I don’t think the coach was even aware of this statistical probability estimation qualification technique used. Sincerely this looks unfair. I hope we won’t be affected by this in the future |

fergie001:HABA........ NA GOD WE OFFEND? I NO DO AGAIN. SO PERSIN NO FIT PLAY WITH FIFA AGAIN? HOW WE GO PLAY WORLD CUP BEFORE WORLD? AFTER WE HAVE PLAYED ALL THESE EXTRA MATCHES, WHICH KIND LEG WE WANT USED AGAIN PLAY WORLD CUP. THE PLAYERS WILL BE TIRE BEFORE WORLD CUP. IT'S BETTER TO NOT QUALIFY THAN TO PASS THROUGH HELL AND STILL LOST. |

We have a long way to cover. It is indeed a long process, world cup for Nigeria not sure at all. If we scale thru from Africa then we play intercontinental to compete with other countries from other continents. This does not look good for Nigeria. Unaerious players |

baylord77:Says my friend who can't run for 10mins and neither can trap a ball. It is a sport. Anybody can win or lose at any point. And if I am wrong, then lets see you wearing the jersey of your local team because you qualify to be in the team Let's learn to be understanding and kind to these young men and women who always wear our national colors to represent us and make us proud. |

This is nonsense. We go just allow NFF see money waste by sending delegation to Morroco for playoffs. |
| Re: The Super Eagles Road To 2026 World Cup by Minjim: 2:20am On Oct 15, 2025 |
This is even tougher Nd more confusing that the normal qualifiers. They burn the players out before the actual world cup. Sadly, FIFA is only looking at the commercial aspect of it. How did we find ourselves here with the array of players we have ? The Glass House has to accept responsibility. |
| Re: The Super Eagles Road To 2026 World Cup by Minjim: 2:25am On Oct 15, 2025 |
After playing all the world cup qualifiers, we'll still go thru all these? I'm sure some African teams will just withdraw. This process is too cumbersome and expensive. |

ambale:So Nigeria needs Eritrea to pull out just to smell the World Cup? 😭 If that’s the new strategy, they should start sending thank-you cards instead of training. Real teams qualify — the rest wait for miracles and math. |

PureFace1:You are right 👍. We (-Nigeria Leaders ( especially the Sport Minister then, and All its Crew- INCLUDING THE COACHES THEN)- have what it takes to have nailed this matter - onset but because they are Not taking things Seriously and THE GOVT SHOULD HAVE SACKED THEM TOO. FOR you don't go to World Cup Unprepared, for so many Stronger Teams are ahead,as a World Cup is like Life and Death -to Some Countries! •We Must Change our Attitudes in Doing Things: By PLANNING, PREPARATIONS, ASSEMBLY of Your BEST of BEST to SHOWCASE YOUR COUNTRY,not just for Nigerians - with Population of Over 200 Millions,so what is Nigeria Problem? But because -We are Corrupt and Unpatriotic - is the bane as many times- the Minister and the Crew in the Glass House - is always about Missing Dollars, In fighting, etc, and that is why Former Minister and his Crew -should be Probed - for this Headache of Play- Off ,etc no be today we get here,na problems from the Past ! |

themanderon:Omo the prayer be say make Oshimen no mistakenly get injury if he happened I won't even bother to put my hopes they na this same players na wan go 0ay this play off abi na which one? Rwanda sold that match is obvious. If we reach the continental final in the playoffs Omo that means the team would have understand them self and the will be very hard to beat at the world cup. It might be a blessing in disguise |

Bluntemperor:Na we d citizens still cause this issue with our craving for local coach that y d bff rather put their man there ( finidi) when it come to super eagles they should go for a ruthless coach was Nigerian or foreign. Just imagine if Eric has taking up the qualifiers after those 2 draws |
| Re: The Super Eagles Road To 2026 World Cup by quickly: 3:26am On Oct 15, 2025 |
To get to the World Cup is to win the next three matches out of 4. Most important is win the Africa ticket if we do that we will be the highest ranked team in the intercontinental playoffs and play the weakest side to qualify So win Gabon and the win either Cameroon or Dr Congo And then play either of Bolivia,Jamaica or Honduras or Iran for the World Cup ticket |
