As Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South East), I was honoured to join other dignitaries and stakeholders in Enugu as His Excellency, Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC); a moment that marks a significant political realignment in our dear South East zone.

Governor Mbah’s decision to embrace the APC is not just a political move; it is a statement of vision, courage, and conviction; a commitment to align Enugu State with the progressive agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope government.

This development signals a new dawn for Enugu State and the South-East at large.
It opens a fresh chapter for collaboration, development, and inclusion; ensuring that our region is not left behind in the unfolding national transformation.

The defection, which saw the Governor and key members of his team move from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, represents a bold expression of faith in the centre and a strategic step towards greater partnership with the Federal Government.

As someone deeply committed to strengthening community engagement and unity across the South-East, I see this as a positive and progressive alignment that will enhance grassroots development, infrastructure delivery, and federal presence in Enugu State.

We welcome His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, and his team to the APC; a party of inclusivity, vision, and national development.

Together, we can build a stronger Enugu and a more prosperous South-East within the Renewed Hope family.

As in ehn... the machinery being built in the south will blow out whatever is being cooked in the North. Atiku should just remove the south from his calculation. Diri of Bayelsa, Adeleke of Osun, Fubara, Abba Yusuf of Kano are also coming. 2027 is a done deal for Tinubu. He only needs a few votes in the North and it's finish. With Kaduna and Kano in the bag, Atiku should be planning his retirement party.
