quickly:
To get to the World Cup is to win the next three matches out of 4.

Most important is win the Africa ticket if we do that we will be the highest ranked team in the intercontinental playoffs and play the weakest side to qualify

So win Gabon and the win either Cameroon or Dr Congo

And then play either of Bolivia,Jamaica or Honduras or Iran for the World Cup ticket
Can the SE beat any of this teams you named there?
Iran alone go de_feather the SE

If Nigeria had beaten South Africa when they came to Nigeria we wouldn't be having this headache.
Forget south Africa.

They needed to beat Zimbabwe like thieves, that would have been enough

I think we should start early preparations for the next world cup qualifiers. This team is just not good enough period.
The playoff is even harder than the qualifiers by far.

In my opinion that wasn't even the game that cost us, it was the draw against Zimbabwe in uyo, that last minute goal.

The person who explained this isn't good at his/her job. I don't understand what he/she puts up here. Perhaps CAF/FIFA unnecessarily made the whole playoff thing cumbersome, because if it were to be UEFA organised playoff, you will understand who plays who, and the timing, not these kind of difficult permutations.
Someone explained all to detail and yet u still complain , O my country!

We can come through these countries.

I don't see any of them stopping us.

Because we always play them with our 2nd team or 3rd team in friendlies.

But this is no friendly.

Our first team will destroy them.

You don't see any of the teams stopping us? The same Eagles that couldn't qualify in the midst of Lesotho, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Benin.

Can't you see that the play-offs may seem harder than automatically qualifying by topping the group?

You are even going far. If Nigeria had beaten common ordinary Zimbabwe home and away, nobody will be thinking about all these nonsense calculations.

What would a team that qualified from the African playoffs do in the world cup?

I pray they don't qualify, they need to focus on the Nations Cup.
Re: The Super Eagles Road To 2026 World Cup by crusufixo(m): 6:54am On Oct 15, 2025
Na wa oooh....SE sha just like doing things the hard way....the chances are so slim !!!....even if they qualified from the Africa play off zone, is it the countries from south America that they want to go and beat ? SE barely held their own against African countries, its now the international play off that they think they would do well ?...well, I would sha be watching them play as they proceed, but i wont bother myself one bit...afterall, they would still get paid in dollars, win or loose

Abeg when next are the falcons playing o jare, na those ones dey give pesin beta joy.
Re: The Super Eagles Road To 2026 World Cup by Adakintroy: 7:03am On Oct 15, 2025
All this na for caf and fifa to make more money for themselves. Imagine all this long ass process just to get to a competition you can be removed in first round. Rubbish.

Nigeria like to put themselves anyway in complicated state.

If you have to ask people if they noticed something you did it shows you're not smart at all.

Hmmm

This is quite tough for any of the teams involved in the playoffs

But of what use will it be for the 2 lucky teams to qualify from the playoffs to get into the competition but only to go out in the first round?

Someone on radio said this route was like the end-time tribulation described in the Bible.. South Africa and others got raptured! grin

This mathematical analysis is scary. It’s even more advanced than I thought.

So we won’t have qualified to the playoffs if not for the 4th goal scored by Frank Onyeka and because Eritrea withdraw, we leapfrogged others with more points than ours. shocked

I don’t think the coach was even aware of this statistical probability estimation qualification technique used.

Sincerely this looks unfair. I hope we won’t be affected by this in the future
Exactly oo. I was even thinking the 3-0 was what we needed. The more I look at it. The more I see a mysterious hand or a bought match.

HOW WE GO PLAY WORLD CUP BEFORE WORLD?
AFTER WE HAVE PLAYED ALL THESE EXTRA MATCHES, WHICH KIND LEG WE WANT USED AGAIN PLAY WORLD CUP. THE PLAYERS WILL BE TIRE BEFORE WORLD CUP.

IT'S BETTER TO NOT QUALIFY THAN TO PASS THROUGH HELL AND STILL LOST.
Ajeh. That's the pain of second class upper.

Why do they have to go through all these just for a spot at the world cup ? After playing all these matches those 2 teams that makes it to the world cup will be exhausted

So far, these are the teams that have qualified.

When we eventually qualify, I want Fifa to give us Canada, New Zealand and Uzbekistan in the group stage cos we really suffered in to qualify, so they should give us an easy group.

And please I don't want to see Argentina in our group o.
