AMINDA:
I am happy as all you APC supporters are no longer pretending that Tinubu will be able to win if the elections are free and fair. You are counting on "strongmen" to rig the election in Tinubu’s favour like Wike did in Rivers, even if that is against the will of the electorates but you will be disappointed. If the leaders are who determine how electorates vote, Tinubu would have won the presidential elections in Imo, Ebonyi, Cross River, Lagos, etc and all the states with incumbent APC governors. Rather, virtually all the governors managed to win their own gubernatorial elections further proving that the electorates are politically aware and intentional about not wanting Tinubu, specifically.
Their intentions will be to vote Atiku, right?

Will Atiku be the only alternative? Are you sure Tinubu will succeed in his undemocratic quest of becoming the only Southern candidate on the ballot? Even if that be the case, would he successfully intimidate the entire South into voting for him in a landslide? We will see about that and time is a gentleman. So Let's compare notes after the elections, God willing.

If Nigeria’s economy were genuinely thriving as government voices claim, the mass defection of politicians, particularly from opposition ranks, to the ruling APC would not be happening with such desperation.

When even elite political figures, who once criticized APC’s governance, are scrambling to join it, it signals not confidence in ideology or performance, but a flight to economic survival and political safety.

The supposed “economic prosperity” being promoted is not trickling down; it’s strangling both the governed and the governors. Businesses are gasping, real disposable income is shrinking, and patronage networks are collapsing. The political migration you’re seeing is simply a reflection of where the last drops of oxygen (contracts, appointments, fiscal lifelines) still exist.

A healthy economy doesn’t produce panic alliances.
It produces competition, stability, and ideological diversity.

So, the influx into APC is not validation of success, but a symptom of desperation, a political survival instinct in an economic drought.
Continue to lie to yourself, only success attract any kinds of alliance, failure doesn't.
As if no be this country we dey when politicians begin dey fled PDP.
Na dis kine cruse make me dey come nairaland, this one enter me well well.
I enjoy the joke grin cheesy grin grin grin grin

All the former govs in Enugu are APC,a former senate president is apc and you still call that desperation.....the problem with you obidients is your stoic mentality of delusional grandeur......self inflicted !!

Mbah and Enugu has made a huge statement and has brought SE bigger stake at the table.....now the SE can claim and demand what they want and also make very valid and cogent claim for vp come 31,now no one can ignore them......a handshake between SW and SE is long overdue and a huge statement that the entire south are united in changing the course if this nation and tired of the conservative and backward politics of the north.

This is a very dumb post full of pain and sorrow. So you think all the people moving into APC are dunderheads who can't decipher between good and bad hence are deciding to go for what they think is bad for them politically

So people who are JAPAing abroad are going to a worse off environment according to people like you

Okay. Noted. Just tell Tinubu to do all he can to win the entire South in a landslide. With what we have seen so far, only the politicians are defecting while the electorates are feeling betrayed. Tinubu will find it harder to rig in the South if that continues and would be at a disadvantage if the elections become a North vs South affair. Okphebolo having to force his kitchen cabinet and commissioners to wear the cap with the slave chain insignia is not good optics and tells an alternate story. Winning 4 SW states in the whole South like he did in 2023 will not be enough to see him through in 2027. He should also be wary of the "Greek Gift".
.he is going to win all the 6 SW states, take that to the bank,he will get at least 50% of the entire southern votes and if obi isn't running,he is sure if getting 70 % which is a huge improvement juxtaposing it with 23....I don't see atiku getting 25% in more than 2 or 3 states in the south

The Governor should not bother to dignify them with response.
The same people that hails Atiku and Obi from moving from one party to the other, (as a matter of fact, both of them have defected into another party more than 10 times between them) are the one now criticising Peter Mbah for crossing to another party for the first time.
What the Igbos are not seeing is that this is a huge statement for the Igbo to change the narrative that they play ethnic politics and a huge right to claim SE presidency now that they are aligned with the center and are not in anyway enemies to the SW.

Only in Nigeria will someone will get elected using a political party loved by his people and mid way move to another party all in the name of “realignment” and “connecting with the center” and they’ll claim it’s for their people?
That is why they should be a law that says that any politicians that defects to another party he will automatically lose his seat and position..he cannot retain the seat or position or political office

All the developments, revenues brought to Enugu state within the last 2-3 years, shey na party bring am? Abi does Peter Mbah stops being Peter Mbah now that he switched to the APC?

Abi Obidents no dey always talk say they will follow Peter Obi wherever he goes? They also always say that they voted for Obi in 2023 and not LP. Why does Obi gets a free pass for jumping party anyhow and you want to crucify other politicians for doing same? WHY?!

In the SE, LP and Otti are the most beloved because of his affiliation with Obi but Otti hasn't done for Abia 10% of what Peter Mbah has done for Enugu. Make una dey reason now!

Na Peter Mbah Enugu citizens voted for in 2023; not PDP and it won't be APC in 2027 - it will be Mbah, deservingly so, because of his solid works.

Na the same PDP produced Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Peter Mbah - think am!
They are bunch of hypocrites. to them, it is right for obi to be moving around parties looking for imaginary presidency but they will crucify others who does same.
