Igbo Elders To Visit Donald Trump Over British Plot Blocking Igbo Presidency by 21lucky(op):
Igbo Elders Set to Visit Donald Trump: Appeal to U.S. for Intervention in Alleged British–Nigerian Plot Blocking Igbo Presidency

Washington D.C., October 2025 —
In what may become one of the most consequential diplomatic missions in Nigeria’s recent political history, a coalition of influential Igbo elders is preparing a high-level visit to U.S. President Donald J. Trump, seeking American intervention against what they describe as a “coordinated geopolitical blockade” by elements within the British establishment and powerful Nigerian political elites to prevent the emergence of an Igbo president in 2027.

The elders, drawn from across the southeastern region of Nigeria and representing traditional councils, political think tanks, and diaspora advocacy groups, say their mission is not partisan but a quest for justice, balance, and national unity in Africa’s most populous democracy.

“We have watched for decades as global powers quietly shape Nigeria’s leadership dynamics, often to the detriment of fairness and inclusivity,” one senior delegate told The Global Intelligence Wire on condition of anonymity. “It is time the world knows that the Igbo people—resilient, innovative, and deeply patriotic—have been systematically denied the presidency through covert interference.”

According to intelligence briefs circulating in Washington and London, the elders intend to present Mr. Trump—who remains a major political figure in U.S. conservative circles—with a detailed dossier alleging British diplomatic influence and collusion with select Nigerian power brokers to maintain a political status quo that sidelines southeastern leadership aspirations.

The document, reportedly prepared with input from international legal experts and diaspora intelligence analysts, calls on the U.S. government, CIA, and investigative journalists to probe the extent of foreign manipulation in Nigeria’s internal political affairs. The elders argue that transparency in this area could help ensure free, fair, and globally credible elections in 2027, potentially opening the door for the long-awaited Igbo presidency.

“Nigeria’s unity cannot be sustained on inequality,” said Chief Nnanna Ude, a retired diplomat involved in the delegation. “If Britain played a role in shaping Nigeria’s leadership after independence, it is time the United States helps restore balance by supporting democratic fairness.”

Political observers note that such a move—an African delegation seeking direct engagement with an American political icon outside of official diplomatic channels—is rare but underscores rising frustration within Nigeria’s southeast over perceived political exclusion.

The Trump meeting, if it materializes, could ignite fresh global debate about post-colonial influence, foreign interference in African governance, and the moral responsibility of Western powers in supporting authentic democratic equity on the continent.

Meanwhile, sources within Washington suggest that think tanks and media watchdogs are already showing interest in the delegation’s claims. A senior American policy analyst told The Global Intelligence Wire:

“If these allegations have substance, they could reshape U.S. engagement strategy in West Africa. The idea of Britain influencing Nigeria’s internal power dynamics is a serious diplomatic matter.”

As Nigeria approaches a critical 2027 election year, the Igbo elders’ planned visit signals a new phase in internationalizing the quest for fairness, potentially marking the beginning of a historic reckoning with decades-old political imbalance.

Exactly what I have been talking about.
Two can play this game..
The northerners did the same under Obama when Kwankwaso carried all of them to meet HillaryClinton. It led to the emergence of The APC, so we are in order..
It is high time the former Eastern Nigeria starts to make these inroads in strategic capitals like Washington, Moscow, Beijing, France etc..

There are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies in international relations.
But what the British has done is to turn igboland into a permanent enemy since they set foot here. We have to tackle that.

Don't just stop at Trump. Go after the senators and House members, especially now that the news about the genocide against Christians is making waves globally. Don't stop! Enlist power brokers of igbo descent abroad. Hire lobbyists. Put pressure! Anything to stop this "black on black apartheid".. Use Same energy in London even though we know where their loyalty lies..

Don't listen to the noise that one utterly rudderless Bayo Onanuga will make over this. Press your feet down on the throttle. Be rut-hlèśs. The southwest and the north of this country want to build their economic rise on the back of the easterners and eastern resources and that of the minorities. This has to be challenged and crushed.

This is the kind of moves I expect from Igbo political elites and any agitator.

As sad as it may sound, some nations control the political affairs of the world, and they are:

1.) United States
2.) United Kingdom
3.) France
4.) Russia of recent

So before you start dancing naked in public, make sure you have the backing of any of the aforementioned nation's incumbent President or leader.

Take a look at what happened in Syria, it is United States government through Israel that installed the guy who used to be a former ISIS member.

Go to South Sudan, the same.

If not for US, China would have annexed Taiwan like Russia did to Crimea.

I pray this doesn't end on media, my dear Igbos, let us use our global reach and foothold to help our cause in Nigeria.

If Nnamdi Kanu had gotten the backing of any of the aforementioned country's government before starting his agitation for Biafra, trust me, them no born Buhari well to kidnap him in Kenya and go scold free, though I heard some gossip I wouldn't want to spill here wink

Even if it's from a Yoruba man, I think it's an awakening message to all Igbos home and abroad.

God in heaven knows that if I had grown politically and had the ability to meet with US President or someone very close to him or any other of the Big 4 nations, I would have silently used the opportunity to press for certain things that would help the Igbo community in Nigeria because there has been a grand conspiracy against the Igbos in Nigeria politically and otherwise since 1967.

For your information, Peter Obi won 2023 Presidential election but the same grand conspiracy of which British government is part of made it impossible to declare Peter Obi winner, that was why they hurriedly worked on INEC Chairman to switch off the irev to give room for final result manipulation so as not to cause public outrage.

So this information is very needed by Igbos we need to work with it

Since Tinubu and Buhari deemed it fit to be jumping up and down on Husseine Obama's phallus, which led to the emergence of APC in 2015, as they profited from Obama's isolation on GEJ. I see no reason why the current opposition cannot profit from Tinubu's estrangement with Trump's presidency.

Opposition parties should coalesce, move fast and cut a deal with Trump against 2027. There is nothing wrong with it.

Another AI slop.

But wait, do you expect Trump to force us all to vote an IBO man?

Or is Trump going to pick and impose an IBO man as our president?

What validation are you guys looking for in having an IBO man as president?

And if so, don't you guys see how your demands to be gifted the presidency is only fueling more resentment against you and only exposes your misguided entitlement mentality that smacks off as arrogant and condescending to the over 300 nationalities in Nigeria ho are yet to produce the president?

You guys were the ones bemoaning tribalism as why we have it bad but same you guys are using tribalism to push for your own tribal presidency.

Nah wah.

Exactly my thoughts..
Very laughable to read some people developing emergency chest pains as a result of this news...
It is the same set of people who were praising Buhari when he was always visiting his Ogas in London while endorsing Tinubu when he travels to get his matching orders from France. All of a sudden, their sense of "patriotism" has been jolted by the possibility of this event happening. They construe it as a slap on our warped "independence".

When APC leader accept all sorts of agreements with the western world to borrow Nigeria into the pit so that all our oil earnings will be used to service all sorts of dubious loans, that's no issue. But when eastern leaders try to strike an agreement to work with the west, that's a big problem!
Parasitic bunch..

Whatever Obama did in Nigeria in 2015 to favour the opposition then. Trump also has the same right to do so in 2027.

APC has lost the moral right to complain.
