Hello senior men in the house, please I would appreciate your honest opinion…
If given the chance to pick between Federal Fire Service (CONPASS GL 08) and Administrative Officer at Federal Ministry (CONPSS GL 09). Which would you advise I go for considering future prospects of the job, growth, benefits, and opportunities. I know the salary of FFS is more than that of the Ministry, but I’d like to know about other advantages.

1. MC of APPO will determine. The next Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO) is scheduled to take place in Congo before November. This session aims to further discuss the progress and development of the African energy sector, including the launch of the Africa Energy Bank in Nigeria, which is expected to be finalized during this meeting. Let’s wait for the outcome of the MC-APPO session. The commencement date will be much more clear after the session.

2. To the best of my knowledge, the Bank of Industry has concluded the selection & slots sharing process. However, the Managing Director has not made public on a specific date for the release of appointment letters. The timing of the release appears to be at his discretion. I have no idea either for now but a reliable staff said before December.

chubaba1990 Abeg e dey wise to pay 1million for a non-clinical (data processing officer) slot in a teaching hospital? Also, did the FG extend their year of retirement from 60 to 65 (i.e 35 to 40 years) same with clinically skilled workers?Please treat as urgent. Thanks and God bless 🙏

All depends on the department you're posted to, although fire salary may be higher but some department enjoy allowances when they're giving assignment to do also they're few in number

To me nothing dey for ministry

What is the current customs salary and if they have upfront payment?

Firstly all these allowances you mentioned are for NERC as regulators they get the benefits cause they have a staff strength of less than 255 personnel nationwide. NERC is better than TCN.

Regulators have grade. Oil & Gas Sector Regulator and Electricity Sector no be mate forget say na same “Energy Sector”.
NUPRC, NMDPRA and NNPC can’t be compared to Non.

Entry Level GT in NNPC Annual Salary is about 7.4m without any allowances. With allowances inclusive it should be above 19m for Entry level(GT). Meanwhile TCN Entry level Annual salary is about 850k. With all allowances combined it’s slightly below 5m.

Dont even mention TCN cause it is nothing to write home about. It is Entry level of NUPRC, NMDPRA and NNPC that you should be comparing with 15years Senior level Experience of TCN

They're sir. I have someone that works there. They get crazy bonuses and 13th month salary too. He goes home with almost 12m every February. The allowances come in February. Though he is a senior staff

Don’t bother about the salary for now. I’ll advise you to choose federal ministry because of access to government high impact projects and initiatives and professional networking.

I have reviewed previous comments and noticed indirect jabs at those providing updates. Let's be clear here, no one owes anyone an explanation. Updates are shared at the discretion of those providing them. Rather than criticizing, focus on building connections and networking. In Nigeria, having the right connections and attitude both offline and online attached with prayers to GOD can be beneficial. People choose how they respond to messages in this faceless forum, and they owe no one an update either from NNRA or NIMASA. Let's maintain a respectful tone and avoid veiled attacks on individuals.

If it's replacement that your connect said is joined with the ongoing open recruitment (pls, this is my isolated experience o) you'll receive notifications for exams and screenings (most people don't bother going as most people you meet in this places will not make it in anyway (allegedly o) but some like going for the comradeship) las las, na your connect go make sure your name dey final list. THERE are some by the book connects that insist on you going through all motion for legitimacy reasons which means you must show up for all formalities, which kind of connection you get na you know, so proceed accordingly.
