CCTV footage has captured the shocking moment gunmen snatched a car from a young man last night at Alakahia, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In the video, the car owner is seen walking to his vehicle and getting into the driver’s seat. Another man, believed to be his friend, was also seen approaching the car but appeared to pause briefly to speak with someone before finally getting into the front passenger seat. Moments later, a young lady walked up to the driver’s side and was seen having a conversation with the driver.

While they were still talking, a Toyota Camry drove past slowly, then reversed and parked right behind them. Immediately after the lady walked away, three men stepped out of the Camry — one of them holding a gun, which he pointed at the driver while ordering him to get out of the car. One of the gunmen also opened the front passenger door, instructing the friend to step out.

The armed men then entered the vehicle and sped off.

According to the car owner, he initially thought the men were SARS officers and that it was just a prank — until they drove away with his car.

Too bad. Nigeria has got to the stage that when things like this happen, we take it as normal things.

Tha man and his friend should thank God that they were not killed nor abducted as that would have been worse.

In the olden days the victims with hands on their heads will chase the car with screams and shout of Ole, Ole, Ole! And well wishers old and young will join the chase with the shout. Now everybody is looking the other way as if nothing happened.
And those that did not greet him since morning or even return his greetings but witnessed the whole action film unfolding will now greet him with heyaa, pele, sorry

Only the police can ensure he gets his car back.
Nothing more he can do. I hope he gets his car back.

It was safe for him to surrender tho, but what if the armed guy wanted to murder him by ordering him to layhuh
Unless others were also armed, with that proximity, I would have grabbed that gun....make we die there.

Is poverty the reason for stupidity and brainlessness too?
GREED IS THE REASON FOR CRIME.

The driver had about 9secs to disarm the gun man. As soon as the gun man bent down. He shud have used the door to hit him hard. The gun would fall off. Then use reverse to damage the camry from rear. And then speed off. As soon as the gun falls.put the car I. Drove and step on gas.clear him off with the tyres. The remaining two men would takeoff.

There's no short number to call like 911 , no helicopter will fly over bridges just to monitor the car and bring it back. If you have money to buy a car , use it to travel
