In the scriptures there are tons of examples where Jesus Christ and early Christians preached the goodnews in public places, including market places and synagogues. I guess you are only regurgitating what you were in taught in your group.

I have the english translation of the dead sea scrolls (the most ancient/oldest extant OT manuscript) in my house and it's no different from what's in the old testament in my bible.

The most ancient new testament manuscripts like codex sinaticus and codex vaticanus are very much available online for free. anybody can read and compare both in koine greek and english.

Jesus commanded His disciples in the Bible to go out and preach and heal the sick. But you Jehovah witness' people don't heal the sick and do miracles. According to you, you guys are walking in disobedience to Jesus's commandment.


Matthew 10:1: Jesus gathered the twelve disciples and gave them power to "cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease".

Luke 9:1-2: He called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases. He then sent them out to preach the kingdom of God and heal the sick.

Luke 10:1-17: Jesus later sent out 70 (or 72, depending on the translation) other followers with similar instructions: to heal the sick, preach that the kingdom of God is near, and cast out demons.

The Jews are Jesus' first target because God promised to educate the whole world regarding salvation through the descendants of Abraham {Genesis 12:1-3} Peter reminded his Jewish brothers this promise! Act 2:39

Jesus gave his Jewish brothers the authority to perform miracles because that's part of the promise God made to Israelites {Exodus 19:5} you can never ever find a single gentile perform any miracles in the Bible.

Apart from working in and through the synagogues, the disciples followed their Master in preaching in the open air. The "Acts" give us plenty of examples of this, e.g. in Jerusalem, Samaria, Lystra and Athens. That your preferred method of preaching your brand of the gospel is door-to-door, does not mean that speaking in public places is not effective. Peter on the day of Pentecost preached to the public, and three thousand souls were added to the church as a result of that. You called that ineffective?

Acts.2.41 - Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

The reason you are beating yourself up over this issue because of this , is because they told that you can only be saved by accumulating hours spending witnessing . Something that doesn't have biblical bases.

Jesus taught his Jewish brothers how to train gentiles that's why he openly said:

“I was not sent to anyone except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:25

His own assignment is to train Jews how to take the work to the people of the nations and there is no miracles attached to doing the work among gentiles that's what Paul explained to his fellow Christians in Corinth {1Corinthans 13:8-10} and that's why Timothy was not healed miraculously when he was sick! 1Timothy 5:23
