We might not even play Bolivia at all.

Two teams are qualifying from the FIFA play off and if we qualify from Africa we will be seeded meaning we'll only play 1 game.

The FIFA playoff will be divided into 2 bracket, the 4 lowest ranked teams will play each other in semifinal, and those that win will play the 2 seeded team for the qualifying spot.

If we manage to qualify from CAF, we are going to the world cup.
I admire your confidence.

Make we win CAF playoffs first.

I just hope we rise to the occasion. Whenever we do that, only talented teams can stop us.

Iwobi has always been average right from his days at Arsenal ; that Nigeria chose to build their midfield play around him doesn’t change that fact .

The earlier we follow the Morocco route of scouting for players of Nigerian descent across Europe and convincing them to play for the national team , the better for us. If we take that route you would be surprised there are players out there who are more talented than Iwobi .

I don’t even need to hate watch to see his inadequacies every match he plays both in the EPL and in Nigerian colours . The boy is just not good enough .
I think you just hate Iwobi for some reasons. Cos you can’t be watching SE and single out Iwobi in that midfield for censure.

Maybe he’s not at the level that we want him to be but he’s far far better and technical than Ndidi and co. If the others were at his level maybe we wouldn’t need calculators to stand a chance to qualify for the World Cup.

What reason do I have to hate him ? 🤷‍♂️

That guy is just an average player and almost everyone knows it. Even you also confirm that by saying "maybe he's not at the level we want him to be ".😂. That's just a mild way of admitting we deserve something better.

I'm not picking on him, I already mentioned it consistently that our entire midfield is trash and that reflects in how progress the ball from the middle to the forward line. I'm not saying Iwobi is Bakayoko level I'm saying the fact that Nigeria with Iwobi at the head of creativity is struggling against minnows; we will definitely be owned if we play against more decent teams.

I know they don't play the same position, but would u see Partey of Ghana and say he's average? Of course not, but we Nigerians know Iwobi is average just that we don't like to admit it to ourselves.

Ndidi them still dey play?

Sorry for the question..but I have never been interested in watching any Nigerian matches or even follow their results, because these Crop of players inspires no enthusiasm in fans. They are just bunch of unserious social media group of players. So I cant have hypertension watching unserious players.

But if the likes of Ndidi are what we parade as our midfield power house, then we shouldnt be expecting anything good. Those guys are past it..and shouldnt be in our team, talkless being the mainstay.

Like you adviced...they need to scout all over the world to find young talented Naija boys to call into the team, instead of depending on same old names, who have nothing left in them to offer.

Yet, you complain about him much more than the others. If only those ones get space intelligence and enough passing ability, you won’t be harping on Iwobi alone.

Iwobi might be average t you but na the best wey we get just like Okocha and Mikel might have had average club careers but they were the best Nigeria had in their positions at a time

Even among the Nigerian descent raised abroad, how many play midfield and consistently for a first division side?

Aina and Lookman anger me more compared to Iwobi, watching how they play club side.

Dem don scout them first?

It's only when they scout they can confirm whether no player of Nigerian descent plays in midfield.

All dem Saka Olise Eze Madueke Dorgu Kayode Udogie don commit to some European team. Probably Nwaneri too

Actually don't be too sure

Contenders like UAE. Iraq and Jamaica are ranked higher than Bolivia in FIFA rankings so they may end up in our group

Nwaneri has not committed. See there are emerging talents that can be scouted and given a chance rather than sticking with the regulars who have already reached their peak which is average like Iwobi.

But if Una say make we lockup with Iwobi, no wam!

I shall be there!

Was Iwobi not seeing game time at Arsenal,Everton and Fulham and still opting to play for Nigeria?

Some of us have been watching Iwobi for a long time and we haven't seen him improve. We don't hate him, we just think Nigeria deserves better.

Your concerns on Iwobi are valid but he'll never be benched for anyone not even Nwaneri. He's average, he's not very bright on the ball but zero chance he's dropped by the super eagles.

Osimehn, Iwobi, Bassey and Lookman are the 4 players I think when fit will never be dropped right now no matter their form.

I think the play offs would do us more good preparation wise if we make it to the world cup. Super Eagles always start competitions slowly then build momentum as they progress which is mostly due to NFF not organising enough friendly matches for the team to blend properly.

Just look at us playing up to four international competitive games alone mehnn. I really hope we make it to the World Cup. This is the best time to evalaute our squad depth. Our boys would be racking up Caps.

grin grin grin grin

Just dey play!

The bold is not a flex like you want to see it to be. Nigeria's Super eagles is not Morocco, Ivory Coast or Egyptian National teams that are all performing well at the moment and can slug it out with other decent teams from Europe or South America o.

The play off is a do or die for all the teams that will participating, not just opportunity for Nigerian players to rack up caps. If they keep up with the performance level they displayed in the last few matches we saw, Super Eagles may not be going to the world cup. We will be playing Gabon that has Aubameyang that may punish us the moment we slack going by how he's been in form of recent times.

No player in Europe’s top five leagues has made 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐋𝐄𝐒 (28) or 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 (18) than Moises Caicedo this season. 💙😤

In addition he has scored 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒. 🌟🇪🇨
