Now this is the Peter obi I voted for. Tell it to their faces, now is not the time for pretence or playing gentle. Tell them the truth

Atiku has also called for the release of Nnamdi kanu. They should join forces with Sowore and match through Abuja on the 20th of October. That alone will lockdown eastern vote for them

Fvck whatever the usual suspects will say and play this damn politics the way it should be played
Peter Obi lack the power, that cowarrdd won’t even show face on protest ground.

They are just doing comedy with Sowore. So you think Tinubu will suddenly release Kanu because Sowore or a useless Peter Obi call for it?

We were not expecting you to say anything otherwise.
You have always supported them.
You have always supported the ESN

You cry about crime in other states but suddenly have a padlock on your tongue when they killed soldiers and police officers in the East, as a matter of fact you called the killers your neighbors and friends

All comments will come gun blazing at Obi, meanwhile the man is making common sense. A government that negotiates with terrorists, criminals and armed bandits across the country. A government that pardons condemned drug dealers and murderers, has no moral stand to incarcerate a freedom fighter. Hate him or not, Nnamdi Kanu is a prisoner because of his ethnicity and P.O spoke the simple truth.

This is my first time to comment on this MKN issue......But come on, what's really wrong with these people asking for his release......At least, many of us who saw and read about the massacres and destruction of lives and properties in the East are still very much alive...He even went as far as ordering his boys to destroy other regions angry. ......Even most of them asking for his release don't live in the East and they dare not travel home cuz of the fear of being dealt with by MKN boys......

But then again, everything about this country is fundamentally wrong, cuz I see no need why bandits, murderers and kidnappers should be released back to the society to the extent of granting them amnesty angry. In fact, many people who are at the helm of the affairs of this our country have currently lost their senses angry
But the courts have ruled severally that the federal government has no case against him and should release him.

– Mr. Peter Obi speaks to journalists today in Abuja about the planned prøtest by Sowore and others over the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Peter Obi talk! Double speak and red herrings are his speciality. The issue at stake is not whether he should have been arrested in the first place but about whether he should be released unconditionally as the protesters demand notwithstanding his ongoing prosecution for the offence of terrorism one of which fallout is the killing of Dora Akunyili's husband on the streets of the South-East. Quite painful!!
Re: There Was No Need To Arrest Mazi Nnamdi Kanu In The First Place.” – Obi by badoh(m): 12:03pm On Oct 16, 2025
To be honest, Peter Obi may have good intention for Nigeria but I doubt he has the mental strength to rule a complex country as Nigeria. He doesn't have the mind of his own and will easily be tossed around like a flying kite. He will have so many forces to contend with and these forces will prey on his weaknesses. Tinubu is a strong leader who is expected to use the political will advantage he has to reset this country. If Tinubu fail to change Nigeria within 8 years, it is better the military come on board and reset Nigeria.

Lol.

My man has realised peace and gentleness only gets your mandate stolen.

Let's play this politics the Buhari and Tinubu way.
The heavens will not fall.

The country is filled with people like you, that's why it's not moving forward.

Well, we've had this problem with some of our past presidents, notably Yaradua and Jonathan. Strong leaders don't necessarily do better than weak ones though. Leadership is complex.

I also don't agree with your assessment of Mr Obi. I recall that when he was a governor, he showed firmness when he needed to. The problem is just that he's desperate like most politicians and will say anything to pander to the crowd and win elections.

@blue. God forbid. Did you experience military rule in Nigeria? Lots of resetting they did, those uniformed guys.

In as much as I don't support or advocate for MNK in any way. I want to ask you Mr man, what about those confirmed Boko Haram terrorists that your government released back into the society? Are they better than MNK?

Haters prefer to ignore why nmk and ipob went violent, nmk and his ipob members were well known for their peaceful processions in the streets of the south east until buhari ordered the military to start massacring them unprovoked only a very wicked person will deny this fact.

And he's right.

A common dialogue would have solved everything.
Like the dialogue Osama bin Laden had with the USA when he organised al-qaeda to do 9/11 that killed 3,000 Americans ni fonna fosu! Like the dialogue Palestinians led by Yahya Sinwar had with Israel when they embarked on Oct 7 that resulted in the death of 1200 humans some of whom were babies and women who were raped and not mentioning the decapitated! You dialogue with humans not animals. The death of Dr. Chike Akunyili was particularly painful to me!! It was a fallout of the terrorist activities of Nnamdi Kanu which Peter Obi now supports!

I don't care about Kanu, I don't buy into his style, ways and what he stands for, but if jihadists, northern and Sahel terrorists, active killers and shooters of Christians and innocent Nigerians in the north, can be released then Kanu should be released. Injustice will never stand, peace in injustice is an illusive peace.

He's running for president so that he can release that terrorist criminal.
