There so many universities with landed properties that are not in use.
Inshort their infrastructure is less than 5% of the total land area. With Nigerian government mentality of choosing the build new universities everywhere.

What exactly are the old ones doing with land that are not even utilized up to 10 %

Why should a university that has barely developed 500 hectares be off limits if they violated a land use act.

So many universities have developed less than 5% of their total land allocation and even a million years they will still not deve up to 10 %. Why should they retain such lands.. especially with Nigerian government that genuinely don't aim at managing existing schools but building new ones unnecessarily.

Anyways we should hear the reason why the land was revoked from them
