There is nothing so special. You probably won't get a MacBook but MacBook Pro. If you are buying 2011 products, then your money may be enough.

The only problem I have with MacBook is when you need to replace things like keyboard or charger, nah die

Talk to him if he can reduce the price a bit. But it is a good price at that price.

Just check if the battery is still lasting. The battery, the charger, the keyboard replacement is always very costly. That's what I mean by "na die"

Note that the softwares are always scarce and probably costly because they are not common. But if know your way, no problem

Would break it down for you ,

Long time MacBook User here, would advise based on your budget just forget a MacBook and get a Windows PC for that range , even those above saying from 750k and above avoid those MacBooks too , in fact from a deep deep knowledge any MacBook with an Intel chip isn’t worth it at all . If you want to get a MacBook and enjoy it with peace of mind and be a little future proof get the ones with an M1 chip and above , minimum should be an M1. Apple basically are stopping support and lots of things for Intel based MacBooks in fact my previous MacBook was a 2017 MacBook Pro and it’s no longer supported and that’s the 750k or 800k laptop that they were saying you should get and I’m even saying that isn’t even good at all, it’s slow , no support , and all. But if you insist then feel free but expect laggy performances from time to time and all.

Finally, with windows PC you have way more options and selections to choose from with literally any reasonable budget just have to do pros and cons and ask yourself certain questions like

What’s your aim or goal for the laptop
Are you buying for long term usage or short term usage
Are you gaming with it and all

2013 MacBook in 2025. That MacBook would be crawling literally and struggle with basic apps. Like I even highlighted intel based MacBook are so slow and struggle a lot , but if he wants a MacBook by all means he should aim for a 2016+ upwards at least . Or he should look at windows PC’s

But a 2013 MacBook can only work if he’s using it for very very light things and basic things like browsing, watching movies and all. But no heavy coding , video editing and all. It can’t work properly at all.

Give him money to buy 2016 edition. You are just trying to do "I too know" unnecessarily trying to ṣàlàyé what you are not asked.

When MacBook 2013 edition was released, was it struggling or crawling? How did people who bought it then cope?

Lol, then he can buy the 2013 then. He asked for advise , he’s new to the Mac world and I broke everything down giving pros and cons , even said he can buy 2013 but listed the tasks it can do comfortably , if those tasks fall under what he does day to day , by all means he can buy the 2013 with peace of mind and it serves him , but if he has heavy things to do , the 2013 sadly would be crawling and slow,

Not exchanging words with you, Charlie I don’t have that in me at all. No stress

Oh nice one bro.
Actually i just learned some editing stuffs and want to put it to work, that’s why I needed them so start my big journey and moreover most tutorials I learned from my mentors are using MacBook because it’s a well protected os . Moreso I like the way it works is seamlessly ! I have a windows laptop but I intend trying a MacBook for the first time to see how amazing it works and also boost my work too! Then along the line , after making more money. I will buy a very smarter one
