Good evening everyone... Please, what can make a closed water pipe block (it was for washing machine, it wasn't installed earlier so the plumber closed the pipe with a cap)? It was opened today when the washing machine was to be installed and water didn't gush out so, he poured water into the pipe and it wasn't up to a wine glass of water, the pipe was filled up (meaning where it's blocked isn't far). But the surprising thing was that, after a while, the water drained into the pipe. What may be the issue and how can it be unblocked? Please response is needed....

Thank God there’s still partial passage; that makes it easier to flush out the debris without breaking the pipe.
This is exactly why every conduit plumbing line should be properly covered immediately after installation; it saves you from future blockages and unnecessary rework.
If you can get a long hose connected to a water supply, insert it into the pipe and keep pushing gently until the debris or dried cement dissolves and water begins to flow freely.

Called a plumber, he suggested we abandon the pipe and tap water from the other water supply pipe close to it...

Don’t they have plumbing snake? Those debris should be easy to remove.

When you allow artisans to make technical decisions, you pay twice.
Using double walls in place of reinforced columns isn’t engineering; it’s decoration.
A proper retaining wall must be designed to resist earth pressure, not just “look strong.”
Once the soil starts pushing, unreinforced blocks will always fail.
How do you even compact a retaining wall when there’s no column or strap beam to hold the foundation?
That’s why supervision and structural detailing are non-negotiable in every project. 💪🏽🏗️

It sounds like the pipe might have some buildup or debris near the capped end that’s partially blocking the flow, which is why the water initially backs up but slowly drains away. Try to use a hand snake or flexible wire to gently probe the pipe and see if you can dislodge any obstruction.
If that doesn’t work, you can try flushing it with moderate water pressure (not too strong at first) to clear any trapped dirt or dried-up residue. In some cases, insects or small bits of plaster from construction can cause temporary blockages.
If the pipe hasn’t been used for a long time, a plumber’s auger or compressed air can also help push the blockage through.

Just pretend like you want to do only the foundation. Bargain very well. By the time they are done, and the work has gained monument, start talking about the German floor. Na them go beg you to continue the block work to lintel level as they have seen job security.
Once the team is assembled, you are in control.
But try pay them the market rate.

"As a dedicated professional, I know I'm not alone in facing this challenging climate. Many of us in the skilled trades have been home for months, waiting for work to resume.

It's frustrating when a client requests a quote, says 'I'll get back to you,' and then disappears. However, I still believe that the right collaboration is out there.

So here's my offer: if you have a project, don't just look at a price list and move on. Send me a DM, and let's talk. I truly believe that 'two heads are better than one,' and together, we can find a solution that brings your vision to life and works for your budget."

I think the problem I have found out with you guys is this
You think this is just a job NO NO NO, Its a business, you guys need to come up with a pure business module to tackle clients, once you can do this you will see progress, you know you do not have to take every job, you can actually sublet some jobs out, Build a customer databases even on sites you did not work on and have a handful of tradesmen at the end of your phone line.
I took this route hence my DIY building if you go to my project at PHC. You guys need to be more innovative in your approach to this business, See yourselves as business man instead of workman. This is why it is called trade in the west.
