I use to see where igbos say Ikwerre is speaking Igbo that is why I want Igbo person to help translate it:

You’ve obviously not heard any Ebonyi Igbo dialects. The Ezza dialect alone will make you think Ebonyi state is not an Igbo state. If the Ikwerres say they are not Igbos then they should be left alone. As for their language, that’s Igbo, bro.

I'm from Bende LGA in Abia state, if I write or speak my native tongue to a normal Igbo person it will be like I'm speaking Chinese. But if an Igbo person listens gently and picks he'll hear and understand. That's why we have central Igbo. Abiriba, Ohafia, Ngwa, Mbaise etc sub dialects in Igbo land but we all know we're Igbo.

If an onitsha man should write his native dialect, here ,someone from Owerri might not fully comprehend
If an Ngwa man should write his:her own dialect an Okigwe man might not fully comprehend
If an nsukka man should write his own dialect someone from another part of Enugu might not understand or read
If an Abakiliki man wrote his own dialect ,the rest of Igbos might not understand fully
If someone from asaba writes ,people from anambra might understand but someone from imo might find it hard to understand
As an Igboman from egbema ,I understand a little of the ikwerre dialect but I don’t understand when an abakiliki man speaks or writes which is why we have Igbo izugbe


Igbo isugbe ,(central Igbo which can be understood easily by every Igboman even you the ikwerre understand central Igbo
