Alimosho, one of the funniest local government in Lagos state despite it's closeness to the city the place still looks like village after many years

Leaving lagos island and eti osa such amount of money, when majority of these flood happen is not good at all, though I don't know the criteria for the disbursement, but they needs to do better on those two local government

What will N6.99m do for Ibeju lekki or Eti-Osa: N10.47m with the enormous erosion and over flooding of this local government? That why we need to keep fighting for autonomy for the local governments and transparency in tax collection and usage. We cant develop with this meagre resources.

I live in Alimosho, and I can confirm that erosion is a serious challenge here. Many areas are erosion-prone, with some roads badly washed out and hardly motorable, even though there are alternative routes vehicles can still use.Given this situation, it makes sense that Alimosho received the largest share.

However, the real question is whether this allocation will truly address the pressing issues on the ground. For top recipients like Alimosho, Ajeromi, and Kosofe, priority should be given to drainage rehabilitation, erosion control, and proper road restoration not just temporary fixes.

Why not, alimosho decides who becomes anything in lagos state. If alimosho backs u its a flawless victory. The population alone is almost 3 other lga combined.

Very miniscule sums for an urban area but since this is not a one off payment what can be done to start from scratch is to set up a precast concrete plant to begin to fabricate elements for drainage, slope protection, and run-offs.

It is then easier to obtain running funds to produce and deploy these elements as need arises.

He created 30 more Local Council Development Areas as The constitution does not recognise the additional LCDA's. Note LCDA not LGA. As per the FG, Lagos state has only 20 Local Government Areas.

What kind of money is this ? They are not ready to give out reasonable eco funds

The 246 million can only solve some, not all. That's approximately 2.8 billion annually to solve ecological problem in Alimosho.

I also reside there quite unfortunate the area lack development among all locals government in Lagos.
