You are the legal representative of your client in an ongoing criminal case before a Federal High Court which has yet to arrive at a final ruling . You then chose to be part of a protest demanding that your client be freed . Is this not in direct contempt of the court you are representing a defendant in? I believe there are so many breaches here by Alloy. |

Zionmdde:Its not today you guys have been showing how antidemocratic you are. Since 1966 and then in 1993 we know how you will do anything to truncate democracy for your own selfish gains. And we know why you all are now openly antidemocratic and its because you know you can never get you long coveted ibo presidency through the ballot because Nigerians will never vote for you . Sore losers. |

DomPerignon:So arresting armless protesters who didn't go violent is democratic? All what makes you think the anarchy you support is better than the anarchy those people calling for a coup support |

Zionmdde:A court has barred the protest from.holding . They are in direct contempt of a court order. |

DomPerignon:Since your own version of democracy is against peaceful protest, others also have the right to support the military form of government because they think its better than your version of democracy |

DomPerignon:Alhaji DomPerignon, Gani Fawehinmi often blended litigation (in courts) with extra-legal protest. No be today Nigeria get miltant-lawyer, militant-Journalist, militant-pastor,.. and so on. |

That’s very unprofessional and irresponsible of the lawyer, to be honest. You’re yet to begin defence of your client in court, yet you resort to protest to free same client.. I’ve never heard of this before |

commoditiesnig:Then you need to read up on our nation's political history. ![]() Gani was arrested shortly before addressing a rally at UNILAG in 1996 in relation to the special tribunal constituted for the Ogoni Nine. Elsewhere, you can also refer to his pro-democracy protest marches as well - at a time when he was litigating on behalf of MKO Abiola. Chief Gani Fawehinmi led the defence team that withdrew on the grounds of government interference from the unfair political trial of Ken Saro-Wiwa and other Ogoni prisoners in 1995. Chief Gani Fawehinmi initiated a legal challenge to the constitutionality of the special tribunal that sentenced them to death for murder. By late 1996 this case had still not been heard.Source: https://www.amnesty.org/en/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/nws220031996en.pdf The four years of the brutal dictatorship of General Sani Abacha between 1994 and 1998 saw Fawehinmi at his provocative best, including during the trial of Ken Saro-Wiwa, when he dared one soldier to shoot him. Under the ensuing civilian regime, he was still ready to criticise any abuse of authority or violation of the rule of law. Even when sick, he sought to re-open the Dele Giwa case, and from his hospital bed called on the present federal attorney general to be removed for his indifference to corruption, saying "he must be living in a world of self-delusion".Source: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2009/sep/08/gani-fawehinmi-obituary |

DomPerignon:What happened in 1966 was nothing but awolowo yorubah coup don't twist history here like you always do. Secondly, let it be on record that Nigerians voted Obi but Mahmood of eyeneck through the help of Britain rigged the election in favour of tinibu. So, you saying that Nigerians will never vote an Igboman as president is just one of your numerous liees in this forum. |

DomPerignon:The c.ou.p plotters are innocent tinibu should be held responsible for anything that happens to them. Let all of us start supporting inju.stice in this country let's see where it will lead the country. Nobody has the monopoly of violence or supporting evil. |

DaddyJapan:Stop making irrelevant comparison! Gani fawehinmi was no protesting for the release of terrorist or show us where he protested for terrorists before. KANU lawyer is different; a lazy lawyer that was protesting for the release of no 10 founder of terrorist organization in the world (Nnamdi KANU) that was banned in Nigeria without remembering to fight for the right of people kanu killed directly and indirectly through his ipob/ESN organization. Fawehinmi would have protested for the right of Igbo virgins ipob/ESN used for charms. He would have protested for the right of people that ipob/ESN killed, roasted and eaten up like wild carnivorous animals. Fawehinmi would have protested for the right of 6 people ipob/ESN killed while looking for 2000 heads to bury with Ikonso. Fawehinmi comes from Yorubas with cultured background and morally upgraded people. Also, lawyers from south west are always more knowledgeable sound, bold and well trained unlike those ones highly rated in 2023 from Biafra land but were floored by their south west lawyers. This lazy lawyer teaching KANU different antics and tricks always looking for shortcut of escape for KANU because he already knew there is no way his defense he suppose to open will free KANU from detention |
