amnotapervert:Thank you. Opening an account and she buying was what we were thinking but from the responses here, that route may be more stressful. Given option 2 is widely acceptable, we are leaning towards that now. |

JohnEli:There’s no formula for Proof of Funds or business/personal income — if it’s not there, it’s not there. No GIC or anything else can change the numbers. IMO option 2 is better |

You don't need to change your Primary NOC code. My case is similar, Primary Noc code was tech and i added 8 months of Healthcare experience (Secondary Noc code). Got my ITA under Healthcare in July. COPR in September eniola1010: |

As a tech person (web dev) , I don't think the draws favor us again judging by the previous general draws, should I still open the express entry profile especially when CRS will be around 478 |

Hello everyone, I have a question. I left Malaysia in December of 2016 but I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2015, I know as per IRCC, I have to get a police report but what if I don’t want to. Are there any consequences? I was thinking of saying I left in 2015. Please help. Thank you |

ebonyalhjnr:Police report is required all the time Do not lie to IRCC it doesn't always end well |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by amnotapervert(m): 4:37am On Oct 18, 2025 |
Bloggingscope:Yes, always keep your Express Entry profile active. It doesn’t cost you anything except your language test and certificate evaluation. After that, look for ways to boost your score. Lately, general draws have been very competitive — most CRS cutoffs in 2024–2025 were around 525–540+, sometimes even higher. It’s rare for IRCC to invite anyone below 500 in general draws unless it’s a category draw (like French, STEM, Healthcare, or Trades). Since You’re a Tech Person (Web Developer) That’s a good thing! IRCC has been doing STEM/Tech category draws since mid-2023. In those draws, CRS scores are usually between 470–500, and sometimes lower.Jobs like software developers, web developers, and programmers are all included. If your NOC code is 21232 (Software Developer) or 21234 (Web Developer), you can benefit from these STEM draws. Should You Still Create a Profile? Yes, 100%. You can’t get invited if you’re not in the pool. Once you’re in, you’ll be considered for both general and category-based draws. Your profile is valid for 12 months, and you can update it anytime (new IELTS, job offer, spouse’s ECA, etc.). Even if 478 doesn’t get picked right away, you’ll still have chances through: STEM draws or Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) Or future draws if CRS cutoffs go down. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html My little Recommendation ✅ Go ahead and create your profile. ✅ Select your NOC code carefully (must fall under STEM if possible). ✅ Keep improving your CRS (e.g. retake IELTS, get more work experience, or pursue PNP options).

Bloggingscope:Yh it doesn't. Best thing is to enter the pool tho. Then actively work on leveraging what's currently in vogue. Getting a job in education or healthcare that's under the NOcs that are being picked. So after 6months, you'd be eligible for either health or education. Or learning french. Its all about proper positioning. Or learn french |

koreanlord:A consultants plays a sort of advisory role based on his/her experience. For instance I paid a popular immigration consultant (kubeir kamar) about USD100 for a 20 minute consultation in 2022 to find out the best option for my then fiancee. Her score was 481 then and the man said no chance that her score was too low. But in March 2023 the scores dropped to 481 (General draw) and she got an ITA. She became a PR 8 months later. There is no formula to these things. |

Help please! I have two question please; 1. My sister is a PR holder in Canada but I had no idea until we got an ITA ( we weren’t in good terms for a while) I already claimed points for my husband’s brother. Is it okay to include my sister in my PR application now that I know she has PR(it doesn’t change our points). 2. My husband has our POF in an investment thing with the bank, should we take out the money and put in my Own account OR put it in HIS own account OR leave it as an investment and get an investment certificate. How do we go about that? I’ll appreciate your responses |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Farawayman: 12:38pm On Oct 20, 2025 |
First, Congratulations on your ITA, it's a big deal in recent times. 1. You don't have a problem with you not claiming points on your sister, even if you declared her, you would only claim points for just one, which your Brother in-law has given you already, just put your sister in you family composition when filling, you do not need any document from her since you didn't claim any points. But you must include all your family (including any who have passed on to glory). 2.Since it is a family application, leave the POF as it is, husband money is family money, it doesn't matter in whose name the fund is, so long as you both are married. It can be in Primary applicant name, it can be in secondary applicant name, it is all family money. Collect your investment certificate and if you want, print out the investment account statement to support your POF further. Hope these clarify, All the best. Aameenaah: |
