Lagos State Police Command @LagosPoliceNG

The Lagos State Police Command wishes to clarify that Mr. Declan Ihekaire, who staged a lone protest in the Iyana Ipaja area, was not detained.

Teargas were fired by police and riot personnel to disperse miscreants and hoodlums who attempted to hijack the protest and cause mayhem among innocent people in the area.

He was cautioned on the need to operate within the confines of the law and not instigate violence and disturbance of the peace in the City of Lagos. He was subsequently allowed to go.

Show of Force Exercise led by the Commissioner of Police throughout Lagos for confidence building in the populace is still ongoing. The State is calm and peaceful, and everyone is going about their lawful activities and other business engagements peacefully.

When it comes to harmless citizens. There’s always a show of “force”. But bandits and terrorists are kidnapping and un-aliving innocent Nigerians including the same police officers. No show of “force”

Who cursed this country??.

You want to be alone but your people are going to the NASS every 4 years and none of them ever made mention of it in any of the chambers? 😂
When you're ready, you'll go home and have a serious chat with your people.
And of course, we know it's all cheap bIackmaiI for political gain.

The message has been passed loud and clear.. FCT Central Area was under complete shutdown today.. even till this evening making it hard for commuters transversing to their various destination to pass as armed men Mount serious guards.. If only they can deploy a tenth of that energy against bandits and kidnappers, people won't be in panic mode across the country like this.

What is the point of holding the man in perpetuity, charge him on time or let him go.. the Judiciary should do the right thing and stop allowing itself to be used to willing tools in the hard of the Executive to carry out recklessness.

A word is enough for the wise!!
