There's a sizeable Igbo community in a city, and one of them is selected or elected by them to be their head. If not for the deep seated tribal hatred you have against Igbos, why exactly should it be offensive to anyone who's not Igbo that Igbos living in a city picked a person to be their leader? Na wa oh!

Just about every other tribe and race does this. In every large city across Nigeria, there's usually an Hausa community for instance and they usually have a leader/representative. Similar for the Chinese, the Indians, etc. You need to ask yourself why it's the one of Igbos that normally offends you.

Im from South south. We have never had issues with Yorubas or Hausas but it’s always with igbos. Let the igbos leave first and see how peaceful Nigeria will be and other countries like Thailand, India, Arab countries, Ghana and South Africa will give us back our respect.
