The much ado about the denial of genocide or annihilation conquest again Christians especially in Northern Nigeria is uncalled for as it has already been raging from antiquity.

However, the initial covert and now overt attempts at denial by the same people ( especially the political actors) who once vehemently affirmed this wanton bloodshed and killings, but who today are attempting to deny same has really left a lot to be desired.

The most worrisome concerns the open wounds they have heartlessly opened in lives of families, communities and localities that have lost loved ones. Then the insult to the memory of the departed.

So whether, accepted or denied, lives have been lost due to religious persecution be it Christain, Muslim or any other belief or faith. So it is time we all our humanity and conscience to judge us aright. For death is a sure passage for any mortal under the sun.
