It is indeed a national day of shame! As Tinubu's shameless government once again trampled on the consitution by criminalizing a peaceful Abuja protest, with heavily armed police men firing live bullets, teargas at peaceful protesters at will without any provocation. It is unfortunate that the only crime these protesters committed was to exercise their fundamental human rights to demand for an end to injustice in Nigeria, to demand for Nnamdi Kanu to be released.

Tinubu in 2012 alongside Buhari and other APC political figures currently part of his government shutdown Abuja the federal capital for over a week in protest against then president Jonathan's fuel price deregulation policy. He has overtime enjoyed the freedom that comes with democracy. It is sad that now as president, he has denied Nigerians that freedom he enjoyed by ensuring that they don't protest or speak out against any of the atrocities been commited by his lawless government. Any one who still foolishly believes that this government is democratic, can now see that Nigeria is been ruled by a ruthless dictator.

We have no democracy any more in Nigeria, what it is been practised now is dictatorial civilian administration pretending to be democratic. For all those who are happy over the injustice that was done to Sowore and other protesters, remember that tomorrow, it will be your turn. You will face the monster that you've emboldened and no one will be there to speak up for you or help you.

Today's protest may not have achieved it's aim of restoring Nnamdi Kanu's freedom but it has exposed Tinubu's tyrannical brutal leadership, the lawlessness of his government and the pervasive injustices that exists in Nigeria for the whole world to see. Tinubu has succeeded in destroying what is left of Nigeria's democracy!

Make Nigeria Great Again.

Hmm well I never said in my post that I was a saint.... If Nigerians had trooped out en mass for the protest I believe Tinubu would not have been able to easily get away with tyranny. I was at the protest ground and was denied access to the unity fountain. There were so many other Nigerians in their cars who drove by, seeing the injustice been done by the police towards the few protesters chose to look away and drive off. It was easy for the police to disperse protesters because the turnout was low. I think if many more Nigerians can let go of fear, selfish sentiments and tribalism, sacrifice to participate in peaceful protests, it will go a long way even though Tinubu's shameless APC government will still deploy armed men to try to arrest them. Peaceful protest is now a crime in Nigeria.

What exactly did the i-gbo people do to you? In my opinion, it is wrong to demonize a group of people just because of the action of a few bad people. Tinubu will not be president forever. I hope all Y-oruba people attacking the I-gbos and I-gbos attacking Y-orubas knows this. A new government with another president coming from another region will take over at some point. What the I-gbos and Y-orubas are doing by demonizing themselves on various social media platforms is a big shame. One aspect, I find pathetic on the part of Y-orubas is how they are so happy to continually defend the unjust evil actions of a bad government just because the president is their tribesman.

Protest is no longer working because we are now divided along ethnic lines by the politicians. I remember occupy Nigeria protest and end sars protest where everyone stood side by side with same focus .

A nation divided against itself cannot stand

There is so much tribal hate in Nigeria, you can even see what Nigeria has become in real time here on Nairaland. Many people are too sentimental and sectional to analyze national issues objectively without resorting to tribal demeaning rhetorics. Once you create a thread and say something they don't like about Peter Obi, Tinubu or any of their tribesman, they attack you viciously with hateful comments, they even go as far as liking their own comments to try to drive up their biased hateful sentiments. It is so toxic and sad. Nigeria is like a prison where the inmates detests themselves with passion even to their own detriment. You talk about a divided nation, I think we don't even have a nation yet.
