1. Lagos: 2,585 km²
2. Onitsha: 1,943 km²
3. Abuja: 927 km²
4. Benin City: 482 km²

Mehn Onitsha is something else no federal government investment not even a university,

To me Onitsha is the best city, just like Tokyo, Paris and London but my only is that when you tell people from the region to go back to Onitcha they start fighting you because to me its like hate speech.

Onitsha was built by Igala and Bini/Yoruba descendants.

Onitsha is just 52sq km according to google and it has no universities and other infrastructures Ibadan,Lagos etc have.
You cannot compare a room stuffed with 50 TVs with just a little space left and a stadium that has1000 TVs,1000 radios,1000 computers,1000 fridges with just a little space left.
Yes,they are both built up but one is superior to the other because of its quality and contents.
In essence, built up area is all about size.

Onitsha metropolitan area has moved pass Onitsha since the 1970s ... I predict it would merge with owerri in the next 50 years

If you want igbos to go back home it's very simple

Give state power to build and operate sea ports and airports and place them at international level if they meet the criteria

Give state resources control and police

You can't use federal money to develop Lagos then want only Yorubas to enjoy it

3.9 trillion has been budgeted for Lagos alone South East got 450 billion and you want us to leave Lagos?

Ibadan is far bigger than Onitsha. Onitsha is small and congested. This is not a sign of development. Ibadan has still got green spaces and large forests. I don't even Onitsha has such

hopefully people understand the above statement. People don’t run away in their millions and abandon their ANCESTRAL homeland to live like IDPs elsewhere. Extremely diabolical

Onitsha is an economic hub in its own class. So it industrialization have been from antiquity. So also with Aba.

For a place to get considered built up their must be continuous building or infrastructure

Kano and ibadan are not the same as Kano city and Ibadan city

Kano is the whole 44lga Ibadan has 10 abi 12 LGA

The built up area in this LGAs are just few a small percentage of this LGAs

Just like 10,000sqm land having a 3 bedroom house and a 2000 Sqm land having 10 3 bedroom house

10000sqm property is bigger but 2000have more built up araa

Where is the source of the information?
The urban spread of Ibadan is definitely bigger than PH or Abuja and etc. Some say bigger than Lagos. Built up area just means urban spread

Why always feel cheating if you are asked to go back to your state to develop it.

Aba is listed online as having over 140 banks even more than Onitsha. So I wonder why it is not there.

Nobody will leave where they have income which they use to support their loved ones but at the same time where you can have full control as a people is your homeland.

Why should a Nigerian legally living in Nigeria be asked to leave when the law gives him the rights to stay?

South East is not lacking behind in development in fact south east is the only region that is developed by its people and not outsiders

Even non Nigerians are living in Nigeria unmolested so nobody is asking anybody to leave and there are millions of non Igbos in the SE and they are fending for themselves. They have HNIs among them. Why do you say the SE is developed by indigenes alone? That is not correct.

You are the one talking about when igbos are asked to go back and develop their region like their region is not developed, and you can't deny that go back and develop your region is a statement igbos hear everyday you your confirmed it

I don't know the millions of none igbos living in south east developing south east, south east is the only region developed by its own people, you can't show me schools, hospitals, companys estates that etc none igbos living in igboland built

.
SE has the highest per Capita number of states in Nigeria. Therefore they have the largest stake per Capita in Nigeria. Population of SE is not more than half the SW and SW should have ten states if SE has five but SW has only six. Is that not an advantage?. That clears any advantage you think Lagos brings to the SW. Then as there are Igbo HNIs in the west and North, there are also Yoruba and Hausa HNIs in the SE ir do you think they are all poor people? There is no bustling city that is developed by indigenes alone.
If you say you contribute as traders, what of skilled artisans? Which is what most Yorubas are in the east. Which is more important?

That's not your business if we restructure then you can legally chase igbos away from Lagos

Stop them from voting

And stop them from buying land

Don't you want that?

Imagine we all have land and little money to build we then contribute to build on one of our friends land so we can live together

After building we then started building another one in another friends house

The first friends start saying we don't have right in his house instead of our house
