On April 13, 2024, approximately 18 members of the Yoruba Nation secessionist group reportedly invaded the Oyo State Government House in an attempt to seize power and unilaterally declare the sovereignty of a Yoruba Nation—an act widely considered treasonable under the Nigerian Constitution. To date, those involved have not been prosecuted. Instead, the Tinubu administration appears to have turned a blind eye to the incident. Meanwhile, Nnamdi Kanu has remained incarcerated for years due to his agitation for the independence of Biafra from Nigeria. This situation raises questions about consistency and fairness in the handling of separatist movements across different regions. Notably, many of those who support Kanu's continued detention are from the Yoruba ethnic group, yet have remained largely silent regarding separatists from their own region, despite the gravity of their actions. This disparity invites criticism and raises concerns of potential hypocrisy in the national discourse on secession and justice. |

Good2go1:To be honest, nothing about the story of the arrested armed Oduduwa agitators made any sense to me. Infact, it smelled of the method used by the authorities to criminalize IPOB. The authorities claim that armed Yoruba Nation agitators invaded the state secretariat, Oyo. The Nigerian security forces mobilised and arrested over 20 of them, paraded them with guns, many bullets, wearing camouflage, Oduduwa flag etc The first thing I asked myself when I saw the picture is how did the security manage to arrest all these armed men without a gun battle? How did this miracle happen? Then the authorities later announced that the men were charged to court, without naming any of them. Thats when I knew that the whole thing was staged Here in the South-East, they will go and randomly arrest young men, parade them with Biafran flags and guns, take pictures, and announce they have arrested ESN In one shocking episode, they went and arrested some traders at Nkwo Nnewi market, transported them to Awka, kept them overnight in a cell there. In the morning, they were brought out, given a serious warning not to open their mouth. They were then led into a hall where press people were waiting, and paraded with Biafran flags and guns. The traders were then shocked to hear the Police tell the Press people that they had invaded an IPOB camp and the traders were IPOB terrorists. Some of the traders took courage and told the Press that they were all arrested at their places of business, and brought to Awka for a reason nobody has explained to them After that embarassing moment, the Police stopped parading people, and just paraded Biafran flags with accompanying statement about how they overran a non existent ESN camp. They still do this to this day So all these things are staged to deceive the public, make the security forces look good, and demonise independence agitations, all at the same time

You understood the plot. The NIGERIAN Army , sees agitators with pump actions that actually fired a shot and didn't waste them immediately. Instead, they were surrounded and then a photoshoot was made. As you rightly said there are no records of them charged to Court. This shows that from time immemorial they copied the agitator template and used it as a bargaining chip for politicial relevance. gidgiddy: |

The south Africans were in the first class region driven around in a multimillion Naira luxurious Bus owned by the supposed 3rd Class people. (The Young shall grow motors). Now the same South Africans were sharing 'left overs and food stuffs' for the supposed region of 1st Class scavengers, with the combined IGR of California and Texas. Shame no dey catch una...Spits ![]() Brenbentondiaz: |
