Having lived in the US,you are mentally and intellectually Refined enough to know that it's normal or lawful for Igbos to have an Ethnic or Cultural Associations or Unions amongst themselves while living far from home.

That actually means that those who're at Conflict with Igbo Unions and Associations may not be Mentally and intellectually Refined and are therefore likely to be Uncivilised,Unexposed,Unenlightened,Primitive and Crude....

...despite whatever "Education" they claim to have!...

My personal observation though

Talking about the "indegenous Communities" Often displeased with Igbo Unions and Associations.

For me I ask; Which indigenous Communities? How many? Where and Where?

I think that Out of the about 29 non-Igbo states in Nigeria,only in Lagos...and now...Edo do we hear that indigenous Communities are displeased that Igbos have Associations.

Do you hear that in Kano,Kaduna,Kogi,Benue,Oyo,Etc?

The one of Ghana,I'll tell you a little about it...

By the way...why should these indigenous Communities be Displeased with Igbo Unions and Associations ?

Could it be a Primitive "fear" of Igbo "Domination" or something?

It all started in Lagos When Tinubu and his People Joined the APC to help Buhari.

Because for over four Election Circles Igbos have always insisted that Buhari Isn't good enough to rule Nigeria.

But Tinubu needed to build his future Political ambitions with Buhari.

So Tinubu's "Crafty" and "Strategic" Politicking began it's hostilities towards Igbos who preffered Jonathan(Before Jonathan was Yar'adua,Obasanjo..all Tinubu's enemies)

He'll send out his minnions and loyalists and jobbers to do the dirty work,while he pretends not to know about it.

See how it all started?

The recent whimpers from Ghana about Igbo Unions was clearly influenced by the same Ethnic Chauvinists within only the Lagos/Southwest axis...Using the Power of the Social-Media and even offline...right in Ghana.

The Ghanians later realised what was happening and backed off!!

What these "indigenous Communities" needs is a firm enlightenment and a strong and decisive response from the Igbos....

..because the Igbos are never going to give up their rights or change their Electoral choices to appease anyone!

Until government put to end all this rubbish, A Particular indigenous community king should be the king over indigenes and non-indigenes, however non indigenes can have titles such as chairman or president of particular tribe in that community.

My assertion is that the Igbos are like the Jews they move around & settle in different places & call those places home, but still holding on to wherever they are originally from, hence they try & go home during the Christmas season, or whatever cultural events, generations may pass, & to maintain their identity they try to replicate their culture wherever they are residing, not to lose track of their heritage, which most times is in conflict with the indigenous people.

Honestly speaking maybe because having lived in the United, I see nothing wrong with them.

If u were born in a certain part of the country, or u have lived there for a certain number of years, nothing should restrict u from claiming that u are from that place.

A Hausa boy born in Lagos, should be as Lagosians, as a Lagos man who gave birth to his son in Kano.

And don't hope on "Lawfare" to "Cut them to size" cos they know their Rights viz-a-viz the Provisions of the Constitution of their Country.

They have the financial muscle,the numbers,the persons,the instruments of coercion and influence and all the wherewithal to Deal with anybody or group in a "Lawfare" and to pursue the case to any length.

If they choose to abstain from any "Lawfare" it is because it is not worth their time...

...or they choose to respect sensibilities!!

So stop wishing them ill-fate.It can never happen.Its more like one digging his own grave.

Instead focus on a win-win situation with them; Learn to work with and benefit in associating with them.

Discountenance any aspect of them you don't like (Nobody or tribe is perfect) and focus on their great qualities.

For instance you can...amongst many things...send your tribesmen or brothers or sisters to them to help you train...for 5 years...and then Empower them with capital....in Profitable lines of businesses(As they do in their Culture)

Do anything to gain from them but stop hating them.

The constitution of Nigeria will now HAVE to be amended to prevent the ongoing abuse and absolute violation of the provisions by one certain particular tribe. It is getting out of hand. Why should they prefer my ancestral land to their own? And making constant provocative attempts to violate and usurp my traditional rulership? The constitution will need to put in restrictions and safeguards to curtail and stop the abuse!

2027 is coming and you will still be asked politely to go and vote in your region.

The coming constitutional amendment will address the “I can live anywhere I prefer” mentality and orientation. We must insert some restrictions and safeguards because a certain tribe is abusing that provision and setting us up for chaos and God forbid Rwanda.

Everybody can get arms but when the dust settles everybody will go back to their villages. But beware other Nigerians are watching and are aghast at the overreach’s of the certain tribe. There are political consequences as well meaning the certain tribe will never have presidential powers in our common entity.

There can never be any new laws forbidding Igbos from voting anywhere they are or choosing to live anywhere they like.

However, if this is seen as a threat, then the basis of the Nigerian federation have to discussed. There is no use belonging to a skewed entity wherein selective justice system is the order of the day.
