discusant:Kanu was detained because of his terrorist behaviour. The killings of security personnel, innocent people etc If he has stayed on that referendum path and not included those barbaric act, I'm sure he wouldn't have been where he's now. You igbos should stop causing problems for yourselves. |

hegelian:Of all the Frontline politicians Tinubu is the one that has the guts to try this. That's why the North dread him. A man that within weeks of resumption can remove oil subsidy and merge exchange rates which is a direct attack on the powerful must be hailed. He has started gradually through local government autonomy and regional development outfits. Let PBAT win his second term and restructuring will be on the front burner. Some sections will make all noise but he will have his way. Remember the tax law. With all his minuses God brought him for a reason. |

discusant:So you want Tinubu within two years to remove oil subsidy, merge exchange rates, restructure Nigeria, revamp Nigerian economy. All these are high tension political issues that no president has been brave enough to take one of them but Tinubu must take all within two years? Do you think that he lacks political wisdom? Give him eight years then this your comment will be valid. Look at the signs: local government autonomy, tax reform, regional development authorities, more funds to the states. |

I have to bring you to order. I see you're mixing up history. Nigeria never practised regionalism what we did was parliamentary system, the British brought parliamentary system of governance but the catch was they just organised the region into a more of a company then put a northerner as the CEO. On paper the president was just a figure head while the prime minister held actual power. Major Kaduna nzeogwu of blessed memories. Had seen the flaw in parliamentary system in that the North will always hold power by virtue of population. His idea of regionalism is what was discussed in Aburi Ghana. Which are regions should be self governing along ethnic line Diplomatic mission should be established across regions Each region have to live off their resources. Your guess is as good as mine the North said. Hell. No. Irony1: |

nairalanda1:Typical Yoruba man idea, always trying to parasite and take advantage of others for wealth Truth be told referendum is the way forward for region who want to exit the contraption, if countries like south sudan, CAR,congo, niger etc that are landlock can live on there own landlock is not the issue, secondly you don't need riches for succession If Nigeria as a country can not Co exist let break up for good and in peace. |

He is saying rubbish for saying Tinubu stays in his party. He got to power as governor through AD in 1999, he created ACN before 2003 election when he fell out with the founding fathers of AD. He tried merging with Buhari's CPC before 2011 election to unseat PDP but the merger didn't succeed because Buhari wanted both President and VP's positions to come from his own CPC. But before 2015 election, their merger succeeded when he merged his ACN with CPC and factions from PDP and ANPP to become APC. In all these, how did he stay in one party. Woke Olanipekun is one of his lawyers so he won't say anything nasty about Tinubu. Today, is it not Tinubu that is technically behind all these defections? He even said he's expecting more defections. |
