Boko Haram Stages Multiple Attacks Across Borno, Yobe Communities by ogododo(op): 2:35pm On Oct 23, 2025
Suspected Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have hit five communities in Borno and Yobe States.

The communities are Mafa, Dikwa, Marte and Ajiri in Borno, while Katarko was attacked in Yobe.

According to sources, the insurgents attacked a military checkpoint at Mafa.

Also, the insurgents were said to have overran the military barrack in the town and looted arms and ammunition.

They looted arms and ammunition and the newly procured operation motorcycles that we use to carry out operations in remote bushes. The number of attackers was so massive that no one could imagine,” one of the security sources said.

However, it remained unclear whether there was a casualty on the side of the military, but a top security source confirmed the killing of many terrorists during the encounter.

They came in large numbers and engaged our men intensely but many of them were neutralised,” he said.

A local source also said that no civilian life was lost, but the assailants looted foodstuff and other commodities and burnt down the transporting vehicles.

“It’s a coordinated attack after 11pm on Wednesday, they shoot sporadically at the checkpoint where commuters are waiting for the military gate to be open for the to proceed with their journey.

The goods they looted were to be transported to Gambarou and other places. I’m not aware of any live being lost so far,” he said.

He said the terrorists came in large numbers, heavily armed with weapons, four gun trucks, and riding over 100 motorcycles.

Similar attacks were also recorded in other town, including Marte, Dikwa, Ajiri in Borno and Katarko in Yobe State.

Anytime this people from the west hears this news, they are always happy and that's why Tinubu is not ready to do anything about it.

How did the north offended Tinubu and his people?

Where is the Nigerian Airforce in all this? Seriously it is either the army goes all out to acquire its own air platforms and train its own pilots or it keeps witnessing as these terrorists kill its men needlessly.

The Nigerian Airforce is worse than useless. Tell me, which country of the world can terrorists in large numbers storm an army base and operate for hours without an air response? This is a disaster! The Nigerian Airforce is a disgrace.

The only reason why these terrorists are still persisting is because the Nigerian Airforce is uniquely incompetent.

It’s high time these our brothers in the North defend themselves from this endless killing. Bokoharam is just killing sporadically irrespective of ethnicity or religion, it high time they come together and defend themselves. Government only comes when the terrible deeds have been done.

They are busy being law-abiding citizens while waiting for death. That's the most stupid excuse by cowards. If they know how Boko Haram deters military and police from arresting them, the communities should apply the same tactics against invasion by military and police if they choose to arm and defend themselves.

Isn't Boko Haram a Christian genocide? I thought they're made to be killing Christians in Anambra and IMO, why are they killing in Muslim states? Yobe and Borno?
