The FCT police command has summoned its officers in a viral video ass@ulting some members of the public. The video which was shared on social media on Tuesday, October 21, showed the officers forcing a man into their patrol van while also slapping another and forcing him into their patrol van.

The video sparked an outcry on social media with many calling for the sanctioning of the officers.
In a statement posted via her X handle, the command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said the officers have been identified and summoned.
‘’The Commissioner of Police FCT, strongly condemns such acts of unprofessionalism. All officers depicted in the video have been identified and summoned to the Command HQ for questioning. The complainant(s) are also invited to the Command HQ to give their statement to aid the investigation process.

Mad men in police uniforms.

Behaviours like this are the reason why I strongly dislike the Nigerian police force. If I see any in need of help I doubt I will ever offer assistance. I celebrate when they are dealt with by criminals esp after one told me he can shoot me and throw my body in the bush along Enugu - Port Harcourt express way because he checked my papers found every thing complete then asked me to find him something after wasting my time. I simply told him that if my papers where incomplete he won't be begging me he would have been harassing me as such I don't have anything for him. Na so the Manchi threaten me ooo.

Police ought to know they are being recorded or at least assume so. People don't like them and will post the video of assaults. They could get demoted or fired with these incidents...and yet they are dumb enough to keep doing it. Makes me wonder if they are MENTALLY OK.
