This is very inaccurate, it's borderline fictitious. Homelessness is not an epidemic in Nigeria. No matter how bad things are, you'll still be able to squat with someone.

Majority of the homeless people you see are mostly mentally unstable people. In Nigeria, even beggars have homes!

I don't believe this stat. Why are most of the numbers round figures with exception of two? What's the source of their data? Lagos and Kano being the most popular states in Nigeria can't have 500k homeless each. You most find homeless people in the cities not villages.

By the way, I don't like the way Nigeria handles its demographic data. There's so much exaggerated information out there. And many other underreported. Some people just cook up data to get funding and then corner the monies without addressing any gaps.

In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.

Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.

Nigeria has a housing deficit of 30 million houses and only 25 percent of people own any building.... Look into your family members and tell me what percentage own their own homes

They are the folk who live under the bridges, live on the street, maybe sleep in someone's compound....or at bus stops at night.

UK has a home deficit of 4.5 million homes and 65 percent of UK citizen own their own homes , this alone should tell you housing wise the UK is in afar better place than Nigeria

If it's home ownership about 150 million Nigerian don't have a house to their name ..I am referring to rental homes or any decent shelters ... Many Nigerians are homeless

At night in Lagos go to any church , mosque , park , market , shop fronts , under bridges, red light district , bustops , inside abandoned cars , even in Banana Island there are homeles people, last time I ran into a homeless community right inside Eko Atlantic under one of the abandoned bridge there , that place alone has over 500 home less people, God to most beaches at night in Lagos an see the sheer amount of homeless people there ..one thing I noticed about most Nigerians is that you guys are never observant

People who think Nigeria's stats are exaggeratedare actually misguided.

When you fly into Lagos at night, you will appreciate how many people are homeless. Loads of people just laid outside, withing a loose sheet to cover them.
Then you think of the beggars and all those who live under all the Lagos bridges. The homeless population in Lagos is no less than 1 million.

Kano is even in a worse situation than Lagos as homelessness in Kano affects predominantly children under 18 years. The homeless population will be no less than 1.5 million.

The other states are less affected but cumulatively, our total homeless population is definitely in excesss of 4.5M
