Residents of Asaba, Delta State, were left outraged after witnessing a disturbing scene where a man was seen flogging his wife, who is reportedly a nursing mother.

Eyewitnesses say concerned neighbors immediately intervened, confronting the man and condemning his violent behavior. In the viral video, voices can be heard shouting at him to stop as the visibly shaken woman clutches her baby in tears.

The incident has sparked a heated conversation online about domestic violence and the urgent need for stronger community action and legal penalties against abusers.

Another woman beater at it again undecided

Why are men so wicked? If you feel like beating someone then go to a military barrack and pick up a fight with a soldier there. undecided

Don’t show your weak muscles on a woman.
Nonsense men everywhere!!
na gender equality, if a man can fight, a woman can fight also.

1. Where is it written in the Law or Constitution that the rights of an individual cease once that person enters this household of yours? Let's start there! undecided

2. I don't give a flying f--k about your ideas regarding marriage, husband and wife wahala... what I do know is that regardless of whatever titles you folks bestow on each other or how you choose to classify your relationships, it is against the law for one human— man, woman or child — being to violently assault another human being— man, woman or child. Simple! undecided

3. The rights a man and woman have as individuals in the land are not dependent on the time they have spent in their marriages. Hope this helps reorient your reasoning in the right direction from this point on. undecided
Your points/epistle sounds germane within civilized climes. Not Nigeria where cultural values are adhered strictly in every marriage.

So, talk about Nigeria and her peoples and Not Oyinbo settings.

The action of the young man on his wife should not be judged based on emotions. But on available cultural values which guides every marriage.

You goofed,Kobojunkie!

1. The one thing most Nigerians know never to do is adhere to traditional/religious values. Any sane individual in that country is more than aware of this. Nigerians often discuss their values at length, but rarely adhere to them unless the outcomes favor them.(It is a different level of hypocrisy that is the Nigerian value system.) That is the general illusion of what is referred to as values in that country called Nigeria, and among those who refer to themselves as Nigerians— they all talk and no substance to the bone. undecided

2. Nigerians are humans, and human behavior isn't rocket science, but a lot more pattern-based than you would like to think or accept. undecided

They should have minded their business since the abuse wants to remain in an abusive marriage. I never get involved in issues like this because at the end some will still be the one to turn against that interfered.

You mind your business while they are living in the horror, but the moment news breaks of a death or this sort here as a result of the horror, you all flock here to air your views? Why? Why not shut up about it all until the end? undecided
