This is a witness list not accused persons list, the witness can also decide not to respond to your call to witness and in this case, it is wrong to call brutal to witness to whatever happened at Nnamdi Kanu's house because he wasn't the officer that lead army to his house. Witness means you saw what happened not that you have knowledge of what happened.

Let's first of all define who a witness is: simply put, a witness is someone or people who can testify, attest to or give evidence as to the "innocence" of an accused person(s) specifically in a court of law.

Taking a cursory look at the list of persons named as his witnesses, you can come to a quick conclusion that MNK is out of his mind.

Firstly, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Hope Uzodimma, as State Governors, can't be subpoenaed or compelled to appear in court since they have immunity.

Theophilus Danjuma, an 86yrs old "papa", may not be willing to appear as a witness due to his age and, perhaps, fragile health conditions.

The others listed may be compelled to appear in court but, may deny having anything to do with the criminal activities of the accused.

Head or tail, MNK may have to bear his cross all by himself.

Nobody in his or her right senses would want to be associated with MNK at this stage, not even his SM praise-singers and heavily deluded supporters here on Nairaland Forum.

And you forgot that a witness has the right to remain silent and certain rules protect the witness testimony from being used against him. I know his thought is to bring them as witness and possibly to be them in during the question and answer but this doesn't look like something that will work. The list will only make him popular among his fans

Very bizarre,this is sick and bad in all ramifications. From a legal stand point, a party cannot cross examine its own witness unless such a witness is being treated as a hostile witness. There is no how the court will allow a party to treat all its witnesses as hostile may be one or two. The prosecution and opened and closed its case establishing the fact that the accused has a case to answer.
The accused is playing into the hands of the prosecution. If the accused fail to create reasonable doubt in the case of the prosecution,the prosecution can decide not to cross examine some of the witnesses especially those listed as compellable
