Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON @DapoAbiodunCON We are delighted to welcome the Stellar Steel Company Limited, a $450 million investment by Galaxy Group and RSIN Group from Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China, to Ogun State. This major industrial project is on course to commence operations by mid-2026 and will produce hot-rolled coil steel, iron steel doors, and gas cylinders, thereby contributing significantly to reducing Nigeria’s steel import bill.https://x.com/DapoAbiodunCON/status/1981204616583819639?t=zR_wYRc-0Xxv12Sr9jqkSA&s=19

APCNig:How does this relate to the topic? It doesn't matter where the plant is set up. Be it north, south or your village, most of the world can't compete with cheap Chinese steel. I mean, south Africa had to close down it's main steel plant for the same reason. |

Good one. More industrial capacity cannot be wrong. But there should be an integrated plan to get Ajaokuta/Itakpe up and running to provide feedstock to these mills. Also I am all for recycling and resource conservation but what these steel mills have caused in the past two decades is an explosion is the dreaded, scorch earth activities of so called 'Iron Condemn' folks who fo round urban areas pilfering, burglarizing and assaulting people to collect metallic articles which end up at these steel mills as feedstock. It is high time the steel industry comes under the spotlight and government gets a grip of of things before both public and private investment come under threat. I just hope this new outfit is not the next in line to invigorate the already challenging situation. |

aaaaabbbbbccccc:You will respond differently if you if you understood that there are equipment those factories can install to prevent the environmental pollution am talking about but they are not doing so. NESREA behaves as if it is unaware of what is going on in the vicinity of those factories. I pity folks who live around there as life expectancy is bound to be endangered. Do you want to go live around the place? |

A dividend of the cooperation of two BRICS nations in real time. Great to see positive progress in action. Certain colonial nations are plagued with major economic issues and could never duplicate this type of investment. I wish the project a success and a beacon for future investments. |

Ogbeni Abiodun, Kudos 👍. The Problem With Infrastructure Decadence In Ogun State: •To Be Sincere Sir, You Can Do Better But So Far,Ogun State is Lagging Behind On Roads Constructions, Provision Of Light 🚨 🕯️, Gutters Creations, Health Services ( Hospital 🏥), Industrial Sector Growth - without Prospenity! But in real Sense - Your Govt has Failed in Development of Roads and Major Infrastructures in the Ogun Environments. Sir,can you tell the Ogun People - the last Time You Declare Some Roads CONSTRUCTED 🚧 OPEN,so that we can Drum for this Success and Achievement. - HOW MANY KILOMETERS ARE THEY? - WHAT ABOUT OTHER INFRASTRUCTURES - -LIKE HOSPITALS 🏥, -SCHOOLS, -BUSINESS EXPANSION -BUSINESS EXPORTS -THROUGH PORT AUTHORITY,etc. •For example, *We Drew your Govt Attention to the Suffering in IGODE Town and AREAS-where Sagamu LOCAL Govt - Claimed, But they were no where to be Seen 🙈 Not even to use Caterpillars - to give the Roads a Life 🧬 - as there is NO ROAD, NO GUTTERS,NO WATER ,No Hospital IN THE WHOLE TOWN. -People Of This Town Are Suffering. - The ONLY means of Transportation is OKADA- because of Bad Roads. So,why Can't You Grade and Tarred these Roads ? Yet Una de claim this IGODE Town- is in Ogun State Or May be Lagos State Should Claim Igode, since it's on the Border ! Governor Abiodun, please do something remarkable for the People to Speak well of you in Years To Come. I tell you this Truth, because I'm partly from Ogun and Lagos State . Just Facts and TRUTH. |
