FarahAideed:Yes he did But comments by supporters online that the north was orchestrating the attacks to discredit GEJ made him look weak. Even his wife's response to the Chibok issue did not help matters. What happens on the internet can be very damaging. By the time the mercs did their jobs, it was too late PR wise. The same thing is happening now under tinubu. Apparently some of his supporters are blaming the crisis in the north as an attempt to discredit his administration |

Davidson1010:This has nothing to do with tribalism. Please be sincere to yourself if you were old enough when Jonathan was President. Was there no so much panic to be in any gathering at all, be it market, Church, Schools? It was so bad at that time. |

why cant the security agencies employ the services of terra industries to detect these insurgents? I have this belief that government isn't interested in ending this insurgency because it won't take a week to flush these retards out of our polity. |

At the onset of terrorism, many of the evil northern elites welcomed this move. So, there is no point they can raise to exonerate themselves today. The same group hindered GEJ from decimating this evil, but today, they join hands with Yorubas to discourage the easterners from having their liberation, tagging them terrorists |

Boko Haram and the other bloodsuckers are creations of both the religious leaders and the political elites in the North. The Sultan of Sokoto, Sheikh Gumi, Professor Ishaq Akintola, State Governors, etc, are all in cahoots in this enterprise. You won't hear them come out boldly to condemn these daredevils or proffer solutions on how to combat them. This is why they venerate and adore terrorists by openly welcoming them in the guise of negotiations. They hug them, smile with them and pamper them while having photoshoots with them to the amazement/disappointment of well-meaning Nigerians. But once an unfortunate person, especially a non-Muslim, say any harmless word or comment concerning Allah or Prophet Mohammed which they consider as "blasphemous", they simply let their dogs out. The problem of terrorism can only be solved by the North and no one else and they know it. @hotseat |

We see the heavily armed bandits online attending meetings with government officials. It's baffling to see that they're never arrested. |

Ah!! Kano? If they can gain a foothold in Kano, it's finished! However, the only consolation is Kano people don't tolerate nonsense; they'd rather kill these bandits in their numbers or die trying but they'll not rollover like some chicken about to be slaughtered. Those bandits too better watch it! Kanawa don't play! |

erniok:Attack drones wouldn't be suited for such a group party , they are better suited for precision high value strikes , this kind of mop up needs the 20mm machine gun this helicopter carries , ofcourse we will will have a reconnaissance drone in the air to fence and count scores 😂 |

erniok:We have only one fixed wing platform that can engage this kind of ground target properly and it's the super tucano and that still the ATAK 129 will perform better in this situation, it has a cruise speed of 280 Kilometer per hour it will be there in good time , and if it comes late it will still be able to locate them at any point and engage ...these attack helicopters were built for moments like this . If you send an alpha jet for example, he will do two flybys at most and have to return to base and it will miss most of them |
Residents of Shanono Local Government Area in Kano State are living in fear following a deadly invasion by armed bandits who stormed the area two days ago on about 50 motorcycles, each carrying three persons, roughly 150 attackers. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the assailants, believed to have crossed into Kano from neighbouring Katsina State, reportedly killed several people and carted away livestock and farming equipment, leaving the community in panic. Communities along the Katsina–Kano border, including Faruruwa, Kuraku, Goron-Dutse, Tsaure, and Yan-Shado, have suffered repeated attacks in recent weeks. Meanwhile, villagers say the gunmen often infiltrate their areas through bush paths, looting and kidnapping residents with little resistance. Farmers and community leaders lamented that the rising wave of insecurity has crippled farming and business activities, forcing many residents to flee their homes. Appealing for urgent government intervention, the Chairman of the Faruruwa and Neighbourhood Security Committee, Yahaya Bagobiri, told journalists that the few security personnel deployed to the area are overwhelmed by the scale of the attacks. “We have been facing serious security challenges since 2022. Bandits from Katsina and neighbouring states invade our communities almost daily. That is why we are calling on the government to come to our aid,” Bagobiri said. He disclosed that the attacks have claimed several lives and displaced hundreds of residents, while more than 1,600 cows, numerous motorcycles, and farming machines have been stolen. “Just two days ago, they invaded our area with about 50 motorcycles, each carrying three persons, roughly 150 attackers. They killed people and stole livestock,” he recounted. Bagobiri described the number of security operatives in the area as “grossly inadequate,” noting that the Joint Task Force (JTF) stationed there has fewer than 15 personnel to cover the entire volatile region. Residents have appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to urgently strengthen security presence in Shanono and other border communities to prevent further bloodshed and displacement. “How can 10 or 15 security operatives confront over 150 armed men?” Bagobiri said. He explained that both the Kano State Commissioner of Police and a senior Army Commander had recently visited the area to assess the situation. However, he noted that the attacks have persisted despite those visits. He said that some victims have been forced to pay huge ransoms to free kidnapped relatives. “One of our residents, Alhaji Haruna Gatali, paid N15 million to secure the release of his wife,” Bagobiri lamented. “We sincerely hope the authorities will act quickly to restore peace and security to our communities.” https://saharareporters.com/2025/10/24/150-bandits-motorcycles-raid-kano-border-communities-residents-flee-homes
It's obvious that those who recently got so-called amnesties from the Katsina State government haven't totally given up their heinous crimes but have merely shifted base to nearby States such as Kano. Kano State has been peaceful from banditry for long since the last major Bororo Fula bandits attacks on Kano communities. If this story is true, then the Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu's urgent plan and call for security to be decentralized has to be quickened. ALL security is LOCAL and States that can afford it MUST be supervised to get surveillance drones and key into satellite surveillance systems. These insidious bandits who are LARGELY foreigners crossing the common porous Norther Nigeria borders are using small drones to spy on communities as well and local intelligence made up of the indigenous Hausas MUST be used and NOT limited to the minority Fulas who could use it to dominate the Hausas. This is why a coordinating unit MUST be in place to ensure this State and Community policing isn't misused to dominate the majority indigenous people who have been complaining of ethnic dominance of their lands in recent videos. Period. |

Why are they complaining... They the Nigerian Armies protecting the northern borders.... The North should just cede one state to them to allow peaceful co-existence |

The world would be relatively peaceful if there no Islam. Abraham's impatience caused this. We just have to live with it. Only the power of prayers can restrain their evil activities. A tough government can also stop them. |

Softmirror:It is far worse now, what are you talking about? Were there terrorists in kwara, Kogi, Katsina Benue etc? Boko Haram was confined in the north east during GEJ tenure but now they're almost about to cross over to the other side of the Niger. |
