non that i can think off, someone actually posted about locking your 4g to band 7.

I haven't tested that my self cos I have a good airtel network here with full signal bars and steady 50+ Mbps

Also, for TVs, always use Ethernet cable to connect to the TV from the router where possible. It's more stable than Wi-Fi. But in your own case, the problem is most likely the source link.

Goodday everyone, I have been using the Airtel 4g router for over 8 months now with all the periodic wahala and occasional outage with very slow speeds as I was paying #30,000. Recently I found this group and saw the ODU device was being recommended and being advertised with 50mbps for #25,000. I was overjoyed and immediately went to their office but to my disappointment I was told it was out of stock in Kaduna. If anyone can help or knows anyone who works at Airtel to help me acquire the ODU. Thank you in advance

Problem with Airtel ODU is that they don't sell it and allow you take it without an installer.

If you can get an installer working in a specific Airtel outlet, you can go and register, then he takes it as though to install it for you and you travel with it. The described scenario is rare.

Someone mentioned that theirs reduced to 2mbps after 1TB.

If the person is reading this, kindly try this reset and tell us the result.

OP, as it seems you want to reach the FUP, you can equally reach it, try the reset and report to us.

Rest don’t work, I use the 5g router and over I hit 1tb it’s down to 2mbps no matter how much I reset it remains like that until I renew the sub

The settings you mentioned are available when you login to the ODU. The IDU doesn't have these settings.

Use 192.168.254.1 to login the ODU and 192.168.18.1 for the IDU.

Airtel is so unreliable. For about 2 days no network all through the day. Zero signal but I'm able to pick up some for very light browsing (unreliable)

Now even at midnight hours I'm not getting beyond 28Mbps. Terrible stuff. Might have to activate my Starlink finally. It's so sad that 9ja networks aren't reliable.

No Internet it's not browsing at all

If the smart box has an ethernet port, he should use it instead of wireless connection

Every1 that are having problems with Airtel network issues, should try this settings

in your internet settings, change your network band to 7... U can also check the bands one after the other to know which one is better, after that go to the settings , you will see 4g settings.. change form 4g lock to Wcdma and press okay

Pls let me know if it works for you because I have helped lot of ppl in my area with the settings and they are enjoying it

It is still 25k but 2 days I have been going to airtel office and they couldn't register me cos nin link is down

Omoo, I will finally buy next month. I don call Airtel to fix my reduced expiry and they did, of course.

So second week of next month, I go buy ODU 😁

Some of my guys are saying they heard rumour it's no longer 25k. Maybe they are talking about another Airtel device, say the Smart TV box.

I don pack my own up. I hv another Nokia ODU I am using, so I hv no need for two active subscriptions. I can see that's the developer portal on the new ODU. What code did you use to gain access to the developer page. I saw it while exploring the ODU but didn't enter it cos it required a password I didn't know.

It seems you have 2 activate plans, 20 and 50Mbps. Are you getting up to the 50Mbps speed or around 20Mbps?

On most networks, the plan with the earliest expiration date takes priority.

From your picture it shows the 20mbps will expire on the 29th..

It's just the normal default 'admin' password I used.

it will still be throttled until the previous subscription expires. The person shouldn't have subscribed until that one expires. That's why you need to have 2 sim cards if you exceed the 1TB threshold

How do you get another sim card for the ODU then? I'm guessing that's having one physical sim and then the e-sim that already comes with it when you purchase the router from Airtel?
