Nigerians are poor. Nobody can afford 10k ticket comfortably. State govt should concentrate in solving poverty issues let fed govt build stadium.
Simple
When Nigerians are comfortable, then private sectors can now come in and start investing in stadiums and clubs.
Nobody starts from up. U start from bottom.
Nigeria can only develop if we recognise and solve our real issues

this country is not as poor as many south american countries argentina were begging for a bailout from US yet go check out the turnout of river plate games stadia is pack full in and out of the stadium very neat. the problem is maintenance culture which we all lack, most public properties are misused not everything is based on poverty. mind set very important.

People go to those stadiums in south America cos they can afford it.
If Nigeria is playing match in that Akwa ibom stadium today, if the govt dont make the ticket almost free, u wont see anybody in that stadium.
Lets our govt use our resources for our good instead of building flyovers, ICC, etc just to embezzle the money

you wrong on that one i watch MFM games agege stadium when they where still in the NPFL and ticket was 500 to 200 this was like 3season back and the stadium was always full. as i said its the mindset once you create a brand draw attraction people will come people more to watch epl matches in nigeria

FIFA has changed its X and Facebook headers to the $1.2 million stadium built by the NFF in Birnin-Kebbi, Kebbi State

The World's football governing body, FIFA via its Forward Program (launched in 2016), reported it has spent, through the Nigerian Football Federation, about $2m in building an artificial pitch in Birnin-Kebbi and another under construction in Ugborodo, Delta State.

Football enthusiasts have called out the NFF former and present Executive for having embezzled the funds.
