Poverty would remain with us (not me personally) for eternity if this no brainer child bearing culture is no curbed. The country is too poor at the moment, we don’t have the means to carry the current population. The only resources we have are people and land, but most of our people don’t use their brain. We can’t convert the resources in the ground into cash……without external help and costs 🤷🏾‍♀️

The country (250m plus people) has a gross annual budget of only $50b but here you are, you citizens expect heaven and earth from the government. We have to borrow every year to meet government spending targets with minimal funding of capital expenditure. Do you really think public protest can change this dynamics? After protests then what? Please call Nepal and ask them how far?

We need to produce the things we like to consume and for export. Or we reduce our birth rate significantly to reduce the shout of hunger hunger!

The profits for the government will come from the taxes of a good Gdp per capita of a good economy

Of course you and i know dat the presidency must cut its expenses and senates paid part-time.

The president can institute price control policies but he can’t force sellers/traders to sell their goods at control prices. He’ll need to go to court for that. Traders can cripple the economy in retaliation.

The betrayal is that the live an opulent lifestyle on the public purse and they collude with contractors to overinflate public contracts (corruption).

Amenities- roads, water, energy, housing, drainages(urban planning), waste disposals, eco-system, surveillance, security.

Government and governance face severe limitations and many tough considerations. Nigeria cannot afford (financially) to satisfy 10% of the expectations of Nigerians. This is why I will keep advocating reducing the country’s huge birth rate.

Go and check most of those countries that are doing visa lotteries and encouraging foreigners to relocate to their countries, the reason why they are doing it is because they're having de-population which consequently leads to shortage of labour force
