"It’s okay, it’s okay, move on, let's not dwell on the issue.”

That is maturity.
That is forgiveness.
That is life.

You can't always have your way in life.

Focus on your happiness, success, growth and development. Stop dwelling on the past and failures.

You've said it well.

However, let us understand that we let it go not because we want to, but because of fear of consequences. And that's fair choice on the part of Nigerians.

If you don't let it go and want to demand justice, they will frame you up and jail u. The state has succeeded in criminalizing every avenue for seeking redress against the state.

If you protest you can get killed.

So we have no choice than to move on. At least until we are ready to revolt by matching their violence

So we shouldn't move on ba? Ok na we have heard you but as for me and my household we have move on.

Refused to moving on life made a man beaten to 3rd position in general election claiming he was rigged from becoming the winner but forgot to ask himself who then rigged for the person in another party who came second in the election? "WISDOM" is very vital in life, if you lack it you will forever remain in page 1 of 200 pages book forever like someone who is driving and approaching a big roundabout and get sudden dementia attack that person will be rounding and rounding and rounding the roundabout forever unless rescue.

Abi it’s really saddening like. Moving on always radiate weakness to the detriment of the victim. It’s not every time you move on. Take for example, the whole of last week social media was repleted with various threat” we are grounding Abuja today”, I’m taking the next bus to Abuja , we are organising 1 million people. If tinubu know what is good for him, he should just release our leader, then firstly , we counted 32 people waving banner on protest ground, then BOOM! one teargas and everywhere was scanty ! This is the height of weakness, atleast this should serve as a motivation to face the forces preventing Kanu from being release.then these people just move on as if nothing happened, what happened to all the logistics and threat??

That’s how Nigerians are always quick to tell igbos to move n form the civil war, when what started the civil war is still being practiced, another civil war will still happen.
Igbos are also quick to move on from any civil war topic that shows the other side of their stories. Truth simply can't be limited to my version of the truth.

Let people who have been appointed be held accountable. When their turns come we would judge them. Stop this mentality

Has nepotism, equity, fairness and marginalization been addressed?

What other sides of the “stories” or “truths” can justify all I listed above?

I guess your truth means accepting the release of “repentant” terrorists while holding on to NNAMDI KANU.

Beautiful write up.

I say again, what are the enviable things about the African culture?

Former French president is in prison.

Obasanjo who financed a university, farm and library through graft is a national icon. Buhari, was given a state burial. Tinubu is lauded for financial misappropriation. Take from the poor and give to the rich, that’s his motto. Create an oligarchy that’s in-formidable .
He lifted this from the story of the Nigerian writer whose idea was stolen by Disney. Unless OP was the author of the original post.

It depends on what you are moving on from. Some things hurt you and yours more when you refuse to move on. Some other thing must be resolved to avoid a repeat.

As for Nigeria's problems. It needs a working system and reforms. Not individuals taking the law into their hands. That's an invitation to chaos. What do you mean by justice, because your definition may be different from another's or from the constitution. You cannot demand or get justice unlawfully or individually. Follow the process, improve the process or seek to improve it by legal measures.
Look anywhere in the world right from the reign of empires like Rome until the fight against racial segregation in the US and till today, at some point when the justice system fails or is compromised, people take the law into their hands. When government breaks the law due to corruption or something else, it’s already inviting chaos. It will happen, it’s a matter of when.

There’s no gain in moving on from injustice if moving means it will happen again and again, if it’s not addressed. You’re not moving forward. Maybe you move forward for yourself but the system will drag you back at some point. If it doesn’t get you it may get your loved ones or generations after.

Those who refuse to support or join protests to save their lives sometimes find someone they know (God forbid) begging for it in the hands of insecurity or at a dilapidated hospital where nobody will attend to their loved ones.

You keep “moving on” from one position to another with no real grip on any specific issue.

When you move on, then you are able to heal, if wounded, or become a better person.

You leave the trouble or problem with the aggressor or troublesome persons. However, when you stay on the problem; dwell on the problem with "no gree for anybody this year" orientation.

You will continue to sink into hatred, devastation, destruction and injuries. You will be complaining and lamenting to a point that you will become intolerable and every sensible persons that wants their peace will just start avoiding you.

Take a critical look at yourself and deny that this isn't true about you.

People are moving on from perilous situations, they are moving away from you.

It is your choice to keep dwelling in the past and your problems

Nigerians are cowards , we are scared to kpai. God knows if the neighboring countries around us decide to invade we will be moving from state to state where it’s peaceful instead of standing and reclaiming our territory. This politicians know this and that’s why the looting and criminality is higher than it has ever been.
