With the number of generals Nigeria have and with the way they are retired all the time, giving them all this soldiers to be doing cook, drivers and personal guards leave this country seriously understaffed in terms of soldiers available to confront all our security challenges.

You should complete your post na. After getting a good education and getting a good job, make a good money, move out of the country to start life in a country where taxes translate into essential services and not insurgency, kidnapping and backwardness.

What are those Generals' contributions to the well-being of the society: a society where the winner takes it all and oppresses the less privileged? Going to school was not meant to better your life alone, but to change and improve the economic well-being of the less privileged. If over half of your national income goes to servicing less than 10 per cent of your society, and you all go to the same market, how can such a society prosper?

Imagine someone who applied for job,just like a teacher to serve their nation, they got the job, served their nation, one is going home with million of money and properties while the other is begging for his or her gratuity to be pay. Corruption of the highest order...

To add to that, they are ex-service men who reached the peak of their careers. If they had worked well throughout their tenures by checkmating insecurity, there won't be any need of gifting them bullet proof SUVs for protection against insecurity in the country they abetted while in office.

how many people who went to good schools and are in good professions get this? A medical doctor who is a consultant would he get this after 35 years of service?? Or a typical civil servant??

We copied their presidential system, their legislative system, their capitalist system, etc.
The only things we refuse to copy is their safety net and fairness to workers and the poorest, yet we surpass them when it came to paying legislators and retired generals! Resulting in their minimum wage being 20 times ours while our pay packages for law makers and retired generals are ten times theirs!

.A medical consultant in perhaps a good work environment will receive what is attached to the level/office he stopped before retiring
