NDLEA Raids Media Personality Pretty Mike’s Lagos Club, Arrests BBN’s Tuoyo and Over 100 Others Over Dr¥g Party

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested popular Lagos socialite, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, better known as Pretty Mike, and over 100 others during a raid on his club in Victoria Island.

According to a statement released today by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, operatives of the agency stormed Proxy Nightclub, located at 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, 2025.

The operation followed credible intelligence about a drug party taking place at the venue. “NDLEA operatives, who were embedded at the party from around 11 p.m. on Saturday, disrupted the event at about 3 a.m. on Sunday in line with our Standard Operating Procedures,” Babafemi said.

During the operation, several cartons of ill%cit substances—including Loud (a potent strain of cannabbis) and laughing gas—were recovered from both the partygoers and the club’s storage area. Among those apprehended was reality TV star Tuoyo, a former Big Brother Naija housemate.

Babafemi added that all the suspects, including Pretty Mike, were taken into custody for screening and further investigation as part of ongoing efforts to curb the spread and ab¥se of narcotics in nightlife establishments across Lagos.

Until the laws change in Nigeria, simple possession of cannabis can fetch an unlucky smoker 7 long years in jail, therefore it is baffling to see so many people gathered in one spot where they all become witnesses to each other's committing such a serious crime under Nigerian law.

If a weed smoker in Nigeria is planning a night out in a club, they should smoke all they want at home BEFORE going out, so that they have nothing incriminating in their possession if the party is raided by drug enforcement agents.

As it stands, one imagines that quite a few of the people arrested for smoking weed in public at this Lagos night spot might NOT be able to raise the bribe money requested by the arresting police officers, with the result that those people could wind up getting slam-dunked in a jail cell where death from hunger or violence by other inmates is a real possibility.

Smoke ALONE in your individual hideout, or don't smoke at all.

Just when I wanted a recap of BBNaija ex-housemates who are still millionaires today. I want to know which of them still maintain the status and which ones soak garri behind closed doors. Many of them were ordinary hustlers before the show gave them wealth. Could they keep up their new lives?

Regular modus operandi. Raid a night joint, arrest everybody and make everyone bail themselves while the agency makes good money.
BBN graduate for don pay like 200k now to sort himself. That is why I avoid night joints.
