Modupe1981:There is no question specifically about "hotel address," but you would most likely see a question asking you to state the address where you would be staying. Why are you so peculiar about it? From your screenshot, you are just on the starting page. You still have lots of questions to answer. Go through the process of filling in all responses, and you should see the specific question for the address you are looking for. NB: RICC means something different. I think you meant "IRCC" |

Modupe1981:As a follow-up, I just did a test run/dummy application, and I think I see where you need clarification: A. It depends on what you select as to "why you need the visa" E.g if you select "To visit Canada as a tourist" the system would most likely not ask you where you would stay. B. However, if you select visiting a family or friend who is a citizen, permanent resident, or temporary worker, you will be prompted for the address of that person, which will be where you intend to stay. If there is any information you think would help your application which has not been mentioned, I would encourage you to state those facts in an official letter addressed to the Deputy High Commission of Canada. Hope this clarifies the confusion. |

amnotapervert:Oga... You are very wrong. @Ashirioluwa is very correct If you have a valid USA/Canada visa, you automatically qualified for Can+ which bank statement will be exempted. |

olasubomy:Thank you Olasubomy I selected visit Canada as a tourist I have filled the form to the part of making payments, yet there no questions about address of where I will stay in Canada, see the part below If there is anyone who have chosen visit Canada as a tourist in there past application and there was no issue,if they did not come across question of where to stay in Canada should let us no |

oluayebenz:I’d like to correct my earlier statement — @Ashirioluwa is correct. When completing the questionnaire, the system automatically determines which supporting documents you’ll need to provide, so it doesn’t ask for proof of funds. when you have an active U.S. or Canadian visa My apologies for the earlier confusion. |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Modupe1981: 7:17am On Oct 25, 2025 |
amnotapervert:Yes, you all are correct, the system also determines the questions it we ask you base on visa type you choose, same things happened to me when I choose family visit it ask about accomodations address of whom was inviting as where I stay in Canada, but when i change the visa type to tourist visit,it those not ask about accomodations, The IRCC has program the site in a unique way that makes it different from other country application form. |

Thanks Asiri Oluwa You do not use a special application form for CAN+. Instead, you submit a standard Temporary Resident Visa application online and provide proof you meet the eligibility criteria: having traveled to Canada in the last 10 years or holding a valid U.S. non-immigrant visa. The application portal will screen your application for CAN+ eligibility, and if you meet the criteria, your application will be automatically selected, and you will enjoy expedited processing.[/quote] |

natgeo100:We are all saying the same thing When submitting a standard Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) application online during the questioner section, once you select “Yes” for: (1) Have you held a Canadian visitor visa in the past 10 years? (2) Do you currently hold a valid U.S. nonimmigrant visa? the system will display questions related to CAN+ eligibility. However, visa officers at the Visa Application Centres (VACs) automatically screen all applications for CAN+ eligibility, so there is no separate section or special form to complete for it.

peterbemboo:I went for my biometrics on 17th July but i have not had a decision yet |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 4:31pm On Oct 28, 2025 |
peterbemboo:The current processing time is 30 days if you are applying from Nigeria but those processing times are always an estimate and subject to change on weekly basis. The best is to distract your mind with other stuff. Since you did your biometrics October 7, you are still within standard processing times. Applications to IRCC requires lots of patience or else you will see yourself having too much anxiety. |

I just got kicked out of a Telegram group 3rd time for telling the truth ...hahahaha. No worries, I’ll rejoin with another username and profile. Honestly, it’s not today I started speaking the truth. For anyone who wants to know, numbers don’t lie ...and I always get mine directly from the Government of Canada’s official website. I actually enjoy analyzing the stats and doing the math myself. Now, here are the facts: As of 2025, 3,548 Nigerians applied for asylum in Canada. Out of those, 1,596 were accepted 611 were rejected 2,292 withdrew their claims Meanwhile, 21,125 cases from previous years are still pending. That means if you include the huge backlog, the overall success rate is about 6.5% . Even if you look only at the current applicants, the numbers are not encouraging. Please, don’t let anyone lie to you or sell you sweet dreams. Some so-called “agents” on Facebook and Telegram are still cashing out big time, giving false hope to desperate people. The truth is the system is extremely tough right now. Getting asylum in Canada is not an easy or guaranteed path, especially for Nigerians. I’m sharing this because I genuinely care about people’s futures. I personally wouldn’t take a 6.5% chance on anything that important. Think carefully and explore safer, more stable immigration options before making big decisions. https://www.irb-cisr.gc.ca/en/statistics/protection/Pages/RPDStat2025.aspx

| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 11:47pm On Nov 06, 2025 |
Nanyavikz:You can use any which you are comfortable with. More importantly is how you are able to present your situation and travel intent in clear and convincing manner to the visa officer. |

Please what can anyone say about TBIL Travel company? Concerning Visa process |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by olasubomy: 2:36pm On Nov 07, 2025 |
Barnabee21:Agents not recognized by IRCC is a risky bet. Licensed immigration consultant are not cheap but you can do it yourself if you are patient to read through the threads and do your research. |

olasubomy: oluayebenz:Are you sure about this ? I am asking, not challenging . When renewing my visa . I tried looking for where to use the CAN+ option but could not find it and like someone said, maybe I used the wrong form. The interesting part is, my bank called me when IRCC wanted to confirm the authenticity of my bank statement. Note: before I got the visa in 2023,I was once refused for misrepresentation in 2015 |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by kpiper2473: 8:49pm On Nov 07, 2025 |
shinaxurdick:Quick one. I know of someone who used just the first and the last page of his statement and he got the visa. He used a licensed IRCC representative. I used a soft copy I downloaded from my wema and IRCC called for confirmation. my friend used a soft copy too and was served a PFL. In response to the PFL,we got the hard copy, uploaded it and requested the Visa officers patience to correlate both the soft and the hard copy . Didn’t get a response for about six months but when we did,it was a refusal . I am glad it was not refused based on misrepresentation . Why are you proposing a 4 months bank statement? |
| Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by amnotapervert(m): 10:38pm On Nov 07, 2025 |
kpiper2473:There is no form or section that directs you to CAN+. The IRCC portal basically works like an IF–ELSE statement the documents it asks for depend entirely on the information you input. When submitting a standard Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) application online, during the questionnaire section, once you select “Yes” for: (1) Have you held a Canadian visitor visa in the past 10 years? (2) Do you currently hold a valid U.S. non-immigrant visa? …the system will show questions related to CAN+ eligibility, and based on your answers, it will tell you which documents you need to submit. I tried it using the “Visitor Visa Visit Family” option, and I noticed that when I selected Yes for both of the above questions, and I have not been previously given a visa rejection/ Ban I didn’t need to provide POF (Proof of Funds) as a final document. Note: I was just playing around with the system So now tell us: (A) What questions did you answer when submitting your visa application? (B) Was your purpose of travel listed under tourism, business............ETC ? In the section that asks if you have ever been refused a visa, if you selected Yes because of your previous refusal for misrepresentation, the follow-up questions will change. From my experience, IRCC and even the UK Home Office sometimes calls banks to verify Proof of Funds. This is not new; it’s just part of their normal process.
