It's childish how they are making it about age when his near age mates like Trump, Mitch McConnell etc are ruling elsewhere in USA. Nobody should discriminate against anyone on account of age.

My concern is on getting the reward of good governance to the citizens of that country who have not given up on democracy and their country.

You can only rig an election where you are popular and he's winning because a significant percentage of Cameroon citizens still believe in his leadership.

Congratulations to President Biya.
Ike gwuru !!! "You can only rig election where you popular". So the people around that know you will help you rig the election or he rigs because he controls whole people involved in the election including security??

Some people talk as if their brain has been removed.

So , he is the only one who can bring the dividends of democracyhuh?

The other day, opposition candidate claimed victory and asked Paul Biya to concede defeat and today the Constitutional court is announcing Paul Biya as authentic winner. Wonders shall never end! This man will continue to run in the presidential election even in his grave.

And then we ask why Africa continues to lag behind in global modernization and governance. The answer lies in our failure to value true leadership; instead, we glorify self-entitlement.

Will you kill him if he's your father or relative?

Or you believe that old age turns people into witches and wizards who you desire to be unalive.

Talk is cheap. Your hypocrisy stinks and utterly cringe-worthy.
Even his biological daughter campaigned against him. Saying he’s too old and doesn’t fit the position or you didn’t read that ? Besides what has he done in Cameroun all this years he has been in power? Lol

The real criminals here are:
1. The Cameroonian People
2. The People of Africa who stand and watch
3. The French government who perpetually benefit from this anomaly 🤔

This guy is 92 and infirm. Biden was over a decade younger but was stopped from running because his head was going.

You really think it is alright for a 92 year old with obvious dementia to get another 7 year term in office till 2032 when he'll be 99 and having already been in power for 43 years
And he may even still want to contest at that 99 years if he's still alive till that time.

Let me paint a mental picture for ya... The "sane" and vibrant minds are the problem here. How, you may ask? Most of them like the ministers, generals and top echelons are Greedy to the core and eyeing that position but They know they won't win if they contest,so they form a cartel and make sure the old Hag wins steadily since he has been there from time immemorial and is the incumbent so they in turn can comfortably siphon wealth and resources of unimaginable proportion without scrutiny and questions.
Tell me the truth,do you honestly think "Paul biya" knows 2% of what's going on in his country?...we are not yet ready in Africa.

WYZAD:
Hmmmm.
How these men manage to control healthy and sane minds still beat my imagination.

More than half of the country know only one president in their lifetime and many may never see another president till they kpai.

Africa will never change and the black race will never be respected unless Nigeria gets it right.

Mitch McConnell just fell while walking down the hall of Congress last week. Trump is not going anywhere in 2028; that dictator is going to run again and will do anything to stay in power. The US is slowly becoming the new Africa.
Imagine they are using gerrymandering to win elections? Imagine the Lagos state government rewriting the electoral maps to favor them before an election? It's worse than rigging.

Paul Biya is too old and should give way to others, mainly because he has been there for 40 years. I don't subscribe to the noise of "only in Africa or Nigeria".

Well, we've had leaders like Deng in china and LKY in Singapore who ran their countries until death in the former and age in the latter's case.

The problem with Cameroon is simple. Like most African countries it is ' blessed with resources: so the people and government have this idea that we need to sell the resources and share the money 'equitably' and import it import import

That's why things won't have changed with a new leader.

China and singapore can't work on that model simply because resources to population is tilted in favor of population. Or in Singapore case , zero resources and not enough space. So, innovation, and industrialization. Otherwise forget about it.

Also Biya won because the opposition is divided. Always has been. No unified opposition, easy win.

But Boss you saw what happened with Biden, during the end of his term. Governance should be for sharp, working minds. Trump is still very sharp at 79, he will be leaving office at 82 and has made it clear he does not want a third term, not even as Vp. Biya will be 100 when he retires.
