Imagine they are using gerrymandering to win elections? Imagine the Lagos state government rewriting the electoral maps to favor them before an election? It's worse than rigging.

Paul Biya is too old and should give way to others, mainly because he has been there for 40 years. I don't subscribe to the noise of "only in Africa or Nigeria".

But Boss you saw what happened with Biden, during the end of his term. Governance should be for sharp, working minds. Trump is still very sharp at 79, he will be leaving office at 82 and has made it clear he does not want a third term, not even as Vp. Biya will be 100 when he retires.

I completely agree with you sir.

I just don't believe it's fair to make it about age. It shrinks the democratic space and gives a general entitlement to less qualified people within age bracket we think is ideal.

If a younger person wants it then he or she must earn it. It's my opinion though.

Trump can't run again

The American constitution limits the presidency to two terms. It was finalized by an amendment in the early 1950s. Before , USA presidents could run for as many terms as they wanted, but most chose not to do more than two terms ( except FDR).

If trump wants to run again, he would have to get the constitution amended, a process which can take 2-10 years, even longer. And I doubt he got the votes to get there.

Yeah, under normal circumstances, Trump can't run again, but the US is no longer under normal circumstances. It's a different era. The Supreme Court is in his pocket, Congress is in his pocket; anything can happen now.
Steve Bannon, one of his cronies, just said this week that Trump will run again and that they have a plan. These are the same set of cronies that came up with the Project 25 that Trump is currently running after denying that he has any knowledge of what the agenda was during the election.
