Due to brain drain, we've lost a significant number of professionals. While they're making notable contributions in other parts of the world, our country is left grappling with the consequences of this talent exodus.

What is the solution to this problem apart from greater investment and involvement of ordinary citizens in the political and governance processes, as Americans do huh

“The worst illiterate is the political illiterate, he doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, nor participates in the political events.

He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics.

The slowpoke doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

See their names. Although they're Americans by Visa,

one day after this country has fixed itself to an extent, they'll find their way here.
How did the country of America fix ITSELF without the hard work of ordinary citizens who ensured that the leaders who emerge from among them are accountable to them huh

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

According to Newsweek and Statista, the World best Hospital is #Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA): Often ranked number #1, with numerous specialties recognized for excellence.

Among the 185 Doctor strong team are Ethiopians and Nigerians.

Below are the Nigerians behind the excellence in the World's number 1 hospital.

Okay. If you are Yoruba or non-Yoruba, when next you present yourself at any embassy, feel free to present your Yoruba international passport or the passport of whatever ethnic group you belong to.
Again KEMI IS A YORUBA NAME, if you refuse to accept that, that is your problem.

As for the rest of your comments, Nigeria is gradually getting to that.

Nigerian doctors full everywhere for USA and Canada, some of the best doctors in the United States come from all parts of Nigeria, there are even worldclass doctors from the northern part of Nigeria in the United States and in countries like Qatar and Saudi

what's all this about we lost them...

They didn't study here in Nigeria, non went to medical school in Nigeria

More private sector investment/funding is needed in our universities -many are still celebrating Xray machine and CT scanner with no maintenance team

If they were still here, they won't be considered as geniuses. There are many more doctors like these in Nigeria but the system has reduced them to a lifetime of mediocrity.
Politicians in Nigeria would take these famed doctors as quack doctors and travel abroad for any health challenges.

Humans need an enabling environment to excel, and that's what they have abroad and Nigeria doesn't.

Enabling environment is what Nigeria and African government needs to put in place in order for her citizens to excel

What does that tell you?
It simply tells you that the Nigerian system is rotten beyond measure
It kills dream, talent, and potential.

If they were here
They will first of all be asking them what tribe, ethnic group, religion are you from? Do you have a political godfather, was or is your father influential? And all manner of irrelevant, clannish, useless questions, instead of focusing on the values, potentials and talents you possess.

Do you know how many years america has existed?

Nigeria will get there, years ago many Nigerians were coming back home to help develop the local entertainment/music industry. Banky w, dbanj, don jazzy that year. The PDP years of borrowing TO PAY SALARY and Buhari's dumb leadership pulled us back. I think we are on the right track of development currently, barring ungorseen circumstances.

I agree america has existed for a long time. However we do not have to reinvent the wheel. We can shorten the time it will take to get there by simply copying the good things about them and other countries.
Secondly, we must engender MERITOCRACY. Nigeria will not get better by simply growing old. We must take deliberate steps and put in the work.

My question is do they identify as Nigerians? Kemi Badenoch has kept her Nigerian first name but has made it clear she has no emotional affinity or attachment to the country. She says she is British, not Nigerian. Are these doctors Americans or Americans with Nigerian ancestry?
They are Yorubas and not necessary they identify as Nigerians.

Is ngozi chimamada adichie a Nigerian?
