Jakpon:Nah death sentence be that. No other place on earth has been good to the ibos like Lagos . Even their own home States can't compete up to 1% with Lagos helping the IBO to prosper and live peacefully. Where will they go if they leave Lagos? Definitely not their SE . All their provocative and loose talk in Lagos they can't try it in any of the SS states. So where will they go? North? Even if you grant them Biafra today, Ibos will still not leave Lagos. Lagos that has the highest concentration of Ibos than even in any of the SE states? Lagos is the only place on earth with the highest population of Ibos even more than in each of their states in the SE. |

Hemanwel:You violated building codes of the state. Because you are IBO cry cry baby does not make you immune to state regulations and policies. |

Jakpon:Why is it that it is only where they are dominantly resident you are demolishing? Is it a coincidence? And you expect us to keep mum? We will escalate it for the whole world to hear! |

Igbos should learn from the north. Make money in Lagos go home and invest in the east. |

DomPerignon:They don't seem to understand we are past the age of empty gaslighting of others. Today, Nigeria is still only essentially sane overall because of the SW and SS while their combined lunacy, lack of restraint, lawlessness and unreasonable character has ruined the SE, NC,NE and NW. Viewed in terms of worth to Nigeria, the Igbos and the SE are currently deficits yet they keep going around with a sense of entitlement and threatening others doing the right thing while they and their co-travellers up North have made Nigeria a terrorised nation officially. The nerve of these people. |

Hemanwel:Well, you know what they say. "Talk is cheap" so go ahead and "escalate it" all you want. All empty noise at the end of the day. |

Ibos are beginning to see their fake cry cry antics have been found out in Lagos . They can’t deceive anybody again. |

DomPerignon:Thank you. Imagine their Messiah Obi took a camera crew to a plot in Ikeja to begin shouting about "lawlessness" over land dispute with a judgment that went against him. Today, we've not heard anything from him. If their messiah cannot lead by example, to do the right thing rather than cry wolf and point accusing fingers, why would anyone expect anything else from ordinary Igbos? Only they alone, always, are "victims" or being "unjustly persecuted". |

DomPerignon:Building codes wound you there! ![]() All because Tinubu lost to Peter Obi in his own State, thereby resulting in all these hate towards the Igbos. Is it the Igbos' fault that you presented a known drug lord as your best presidential material while they brought out an incorruptible man as their best? |

Nigeria is very skewed The north in their efforts to whittle down the influence of the south east and to punish the igbo man gave the southwest so much power economically and politically.today, the west is pointing hands to the face of the north to do their worst, challenging them in every where The yorubas are talking ill of every region today is because of that singular miscalculation from the north, otherwise who is yorubas to talk when the system was more balanced in the 60s I just hope the north have learnt their lessons that their greatest ally and more trustworthy in the country are the easterners Yorubas can decide to pull out of the federation today and there is nothing anyone can do about it including the north owing to that miscalculation from the north; giving too much economic and political power to the southwest in order to keep the easterners on check |

WizardOfNG:Obi is a typified IBO man who will cry in pain as he stabs you in the back. Go to the SE and see how they use fake accusations to hound whoever they perceive as an enemy. A poor man in the SE will save every kobo he has to drag his enemy to police station on trumped up charges. The Police station in the SE are inundated with all manner of false accusations and allegations by them on themselves. Even IG desk is overflowing with petitions from their side. Only a very dark heart will run false accusations on others like they do. You have to have lived in the SE to understand what I am saying. A young boy sets up a barbing shop in the village , it will be one old wizard that will go to the State CID to report that the young boy setup a barbing shop from proceeds of armed robbery and that the police should come and arrest him. Very wicked place. |

Igirigimercenar:What is this one saying? Is Lagos getting more allocation than any northern state? Is Lagos not at a net loss when it comes to VAT sharing formula? Is it Lagos that made the north to use their hands to form and support terrorists and bandits that have devastated the north today ? So in your crab-in-the-bucket mental dilemma state, Lagos and SW should not escape the madness that is terrorism that the north and SE used their hands to sow? How then do you intend to check SW and Lagos stability and progress so they can match your bedlam existence in the SE? |

Hemanwel:So that's the only reason you see why Lagos state is carrying out their enshrined developmental control and sanitization of their state? So the state that is the landlord overall has no right to regulate building controls in their state? You mistake Lagos for your barbaric SE. They have told you time without number to challenge the demolitions in court. Why haven't you done so? If you have genuine claim sue Lagos state in a Federal High Court and stop all these your whining online. No one cares and no one will ever care. |

DomPerignon:Oga, shut it! We know the trick. Which yeye building code? - What about the removal of Igbo street names? - other tribes can have their kings representing them but Igbos are not allowed Just shut it, bro! We know the loss really pained you lots! |
| Re: Lagos State Government Subtly Chasing Igbos Out Of Lagos by DomPerignon: 9:16am On Oct 29, 2025 |
Hemanwel:Their streets , their rules and they can rename it anyhow they deem fit with the times. Also note that street naming used to rely on the owner of the first numbered house. It wasn't done with special recognition and if the current Council decides to rename streets to honour people within the council how is that your business? The law stipulates that the state councils and government are empowered to name and rename streets. Have you asked how those streets were originally named after unknown ibos? As I said earlier , street naming in most parts of Lagos usually assumed the name of the property owner of the first numbered house. It wasn't done in special recognition . And if the council how decides it wants to honour some one from the council by naming a street after him or her , how is that breaking any taboos or laws? Even Charlie Bus stop in Gbagada was never officially named after him. It was bus drivers that and commuters that used it as a landmark . The council then decides to officially name it after Badoo and you are crying. Charley boy did not own the property sef and has since relocated to Abuja where he is living in his own house in Gwarimpa. Ask Wike to name the street he is now living after him. |

DomPerignon:This is why they have problems everywhere they go. Have you not noticed non-Nigerians, like Ghanaians, now deliberately call out Igbos for their lack of moderation? Many are now more aware of their specific domination agenda and nuisance that separates them from other Nigerians. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/opinion/105036-how-the-igbo-introduced-tribalism-to-nigerian-politics-by-femi-fani-kayode.html?tztc=1

If igbos boycott Lagos, Lagos manufactured products and services and prioritize Eastern products or foreign made products, things will change |

Streetinvestor2:So how do you intend to make money in Lagos without investing in one commercial venture or the other and also not paying due taxes on returned gains? Only a criminal venture can produce such outcome where you neither invest nor pay taxes but end up still cashing out from Lagos . Are you saying your people should just go into armed robbery and other criminal activities in Lagos and ensure all proceeds of such crime are invested only in the SE? Because that's what your proposal sounds like. |

kettykin:Do it and stop making empty threats. If you boycott Lagos , Lagos gains sanity . |
