Racoon:
Of course Tinubu, Wole Soyinka and all the Ojota Occupy Nigeria hypocrites of yesteryears would forever go down in infamy for foisting Buhari upon this nation and continuing the disaster thereafter. They won't escape their punishment
But Ojukwu and Nnamdi Azikwe escaped and Peter Obi will escape?

So what are their punishment?

Make they give you visa now, you go change mouth. Is your country any safer? You're making it sound there is war there or people are killed like flies everyday
Mirasteel:
Just imagine? same country that you can be shot at at any time by a depressed and mentally ill person.

He will be remembered as the founder of cultism in Nigerian universities that has destroyed the lives of many Nigerian youths! Soo much for a legacy undecided
He founded fraternity but he never told them to kill each other or terrorise each other's.

I hope you know that there are frats also in USA and have you heared them killing each others? don't blame him because of the stupidity of some people. a 3rd world citizens will always act like a 3rd world citizen.

You think his lineage is like your own without great people.

You must think everyone is like you and your people, LoL.

That line is old, stale and no longer valid.

He hates "divisive and discriminatory leadership." in US but loves "divisive and discriminatory leadership." at home.

Jakumo:
Take a moment to look at all the published book titles that Professor Wole Soyinka has on sale with Amazon books. Note how many of those books are RECENT works whose literary quality has only improved with time like a fine wine.

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=by+Wole+Soyinka&i=digital-text&crid=SN1WOVTWKOLH&sprefix=by+wole+soyinka%2Cdigital-text%2C657&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

As you scroll through this formidable body of work, ask yourself in all honesty, if the writer whose genius created this catalog of published books, could possibly be described as having an "outdated" brain, of all things.

Have a good day sir.
Older men make poorer decisions.
I read a lot of his books growing up.
My favorite was "the Lion and the jewel"
I still stand by what I said.
I have aged parents too, man has lost his ways...
We'll all get there and when we do we should learn to keep it together
Once corrupt politicians started hosting him to banquets I knew he was over.
Was tearing his green card a wise decision?
I get am before no be property

Wole Soyinka has paid his dues as a younger man who spoke out against a succession of military tyrants in Nigeria, with the result that he lost his freedom deep in the darkest dungeons of despots who hated the truth, more than a few times. Beyond those nightmarish rites of passage spent behind bars, Wole Soyinka came within a hair's breadth of losing his life at the hands of goons sent to terminate him by the powers that be at the time.

While it may be true that Mr. Soyinka committed basic human errors in his youth and in his old age, it is the sum total, the net aggregate of his life work, that constitutes his living legacy to which he continues to add with each new publication he crafts as a writer of conscience blessed with prodigious ingenuity, creativity, and dedication.

Don Benny, with sincere appreciation for the courteous tone of your expressed thoughts on Nigeria's only Nobel Laureate, I agree to disagree with the conclusions you have drawn about that intellectual powerhouse and author extraordinaire, Wole Soyinka.

Given his prominence, it's good to have public records about his side of the story.

Ann confess, you just don't like him...

SisterAnn:
He tore his green card according to him.

Then resorted to using tourist visa.

Then applied..

Was granted..

Embassy recieved additional info regarding him..

Then invited him to come for reinterview, he declined.

Then his Visa was revoked permanently.. and the man called a press conference to shalaye.

In whatever you do in life, resist the urge to shalaye..

If he wanted a special treatment because he is the prince of Aragon, that would've been possible when he carried a green card.

Now, he's just like any other joe, but still felt entitled.

He's fighting for black people etc whom he felt were wrongly targeted by trump, but right under his own nose, Nigerians have been called immigrants by their fellow Nigerians while he lost his voice.

Could this be the additional info US had on him? 😂

What convinced people like you to also vote for buhari was your hatred for the Igbos...you peeps were everywhere shouting that GEJ gave his govt to them
cheesy cheesy
One. Hatred for igbos? Why would you assume that people including me hate igbos? You need to ask yourself this question.
Two. I voted for GEJ in 2011, may be I didn't hate him or igbos back then, right? Why should I vote for him in 2015 if I felt that he disappointed me and other Nigerians.
Many people voted for Tinubu in 2023 but won't vote for him in 2027. Does that mean they hate Yorubas? Common sense
Three. GEJ is not igbo. I don't know why you think he's.

Wole Soyinka followed his conscience, and he knew all along that his political stances could be controversial.
Then he should have quietly crawled back to his orthopedic bed in his lonely bushy and isolated estate, rather than trying to rile up folks like you.

My only issue with prof Soyinka is the fact that he threatened to destroy his Green card if Trump is elected.... Like what's your business with American politics? Leave them to elect whomever they wish...Haba!

One. Hatred for igbos? Why would you assume that people including me hate igbos? You need to ask yourself this question. you already know the answer..we all remember very well how you all attacked and accused GeJ back then of giving everything to the Igbos

Two. I voted for GEJ in 2011, may be I didn't hate him or igbos back then, right?
Every right thinking sane Nigerian did and rightly so

Why should I vote for him in 2015 if I felt that he disappointed me and other Nigerians.
nobody's disputing that but rejecting GEJ and bringing,of all people, Buhari,a known and certified failure and a northerner,to power is as evil and worse than the 1914 amagalmation blunder

Many people voted for Tinubu in 2023 but won't vote for him in 2027. Does that mean they hate Yorubas? Common sense
in spite of buhari's gross and monumental failure in his first term, you people still went ahead and voted for him the second time and he did 8 "glorious years." What was the common sense, there?

Three. GEJ is not igbo. I don't know why you think he's.
GEJ is SS just like me and it's is on record that only one section of the south accused him of filling his govt with the easterners. The taboo done to him for the benefit of not another southerner but a northerner shall surely be repaid by everyone who had a hand in it....ask saraki, amaechi, some Nigerians crying "ebin pawa o",...... we have seen many of your repented types here (I won't mention them) who cry and curse tinubu here everyday..and these were very staunch supporters....and it's easy to tell that most of you are not having it rosy at all based on your mood we see on here..you people display anger and are seriously brooding have continued to act and behave like the opposition grin

So only you know if GeJ is Igbo or from Mali
