I think some Nigerian importers use Lome port and then take the goods to Nigeria by road.

My opinion though
The question you should then ask yourself is;why do the Nigeria importers preferred Lome's Ports to Nigeria ports?

The usual comment of a Lagos hater. No new thing here. We always know you people hate Lagos and SW.

But I am 100% sure no single South East will ever rant close to Lagos till the end of the world. So keep the hates alive

I don't need to do that. What u needed was already mention in the post by experts. They talked about lack of infrastructures such as railways, no dredging of port. But u were so hell bend and blinded to see the truth. You instead choose to attribute ur claims to natural factors. How many rivers Togo get na? How many populations togo get? How many landlock countries share boundaries with Togo that will warrant them to use Togo port for interport? U are just too bitter. U will soon die cause of lies. Do u know Nigeria is built in such a way in which each geo political zone can have mkre than 2 sea ports? Look at lagos, look at Onitsha, look at calabar, look at akwa ibom, look at port Harcourt, just to name few. Baba even countries that are landlocks tries to invest in ports by building canals. Nigeria already has all. Yet u choose to say togo has more riverine than Nigeria. Togo that is not even up to ogun state interms of land mass? Na stil u go get up and be saying we're gaints of Africa. Learn to speak the truth at least for ones. Don't be Nairaland Reno omokery. The post didn't say Nigeria doesn't have enough water bobies to make the port functional. It says the problem is due to bad government and political factors and also people like u
All those issues started just in 2023 and they should have been fixed by now.

Why should it be when the price for clearance is exorbitant
Since Tinubu packaged his 2011 expired soldier as APC change messiah, everything has scattered into extreme poverty shege, which has been taken to extra level by the Lagos TAX master planner.

Nigeria has over 800 km of coastline whilst Togo has just over 50 km of coastline. So how does Togo have more "bodywater" than Nigeria?

From 1960 to 2025 we never catch up Togo. Anyway, let's see what happens in 2095. We are doing the opposite of catching up. Togo is expanding the gap. We are being dominated.

Don't be intimidated; no one is imposing anything on you. He is only telling you the truth. You are free to believe falsehoods, but that shouldn't stop others from pointing that out.

You don't have to spread misinformation to sell a lie. Togo has a very tiny body of water compared to Nigeria. I would have said it's a pity many of you don't travel, but these days, you don't need to travel to get correct information

Tell me more, sir. There must be something special about these people.

Well, what makes them special is how maximally delusional they have been.

Some of you just like to argue for arguments sake.

Togo is covered by 4.2% of water while Nigeria is 1.4%

If you had travelled by road from Benin to Togo, you will notice that the journey is mostly on coastal highway way which means you will see water almost all through.
