This tearing of green card by Wole Soyinka is old news. The current action by US Embassy is that his B1/B2 tourist visa has been revoked. He has been told to bring his passport to US Consulate so they can formally stamp it cancelled.

I hope Soyinka will eat the humble pie and honour that invitation, else he will be keeping an illegal visa in his passport.
